Was speaking to Ben @ BMKEYS yesterday after retrofitting TV module for a quick tutorial on using BMW Scanner so I could unlock TV in Motion and some other things.
Off topic he mentioned a product called "Plasti Dip" which is huge in the US but relatively unheard of over here and told me to go to YouTube and check it out. In a nutshell it is basically vinyl wrap from an aerosol can (or spray gun) therefore you can be really creative with where and how you use it. The unique thing with it is once you apply lots of layers, it is very durable yet to remove, it just peels off like a layer of latex.
Check out some videos by DipYouCar.Com in the US on YouTube who seem to be the authority on it. First one is them doing a whole Audi R8 and the second is them doing an alloy wheel while still on the car. Obviously taking it off would get better results for full coverage but it seems to be so easy to use that if you check out forum boardsin USA that mention it, total novices are using it with great results.

Ben's getting a M3 next week and in his own word "He's gonna go to town with Plasti Dip" so gonna pop over to have a look when he's done.
Next job on car is to fit my AE rings as after speaking with a couple of forum members I went a bought a dremil and will do the dreaded cut but that wont happen till we have some good weather. Planning to spray reflectors black when I fit the AE's so once that done, if Plasti Dip gives the same results as I have seen in the videos, I'll spray my alloys black to match.
If your interested in getting "Plast Dip" there is a UK distributor at http://www.plastidip.co.uk who sells the cans for £10 each which will do about 4 - 5 layers for one alloy. For doing whole car and other things, it is available by the liter and there are lots of finishes also available like pearl etc.
