What have you done to your car today?

The 1000 mile new 35is from last September is still in hibernation from Oct '16 and on trickle charge - I've just been into the garage with the voltmeter and it's showing 13.0v
It goes down to 12.5 and up to 13.1 so I'm fairly confident it will fire up at the beginning of April.

Ps. Never mind Expensive Ctek kit, this was £8.00 from Makro many years ago. 12v and for golf carts and has been used on all three previous zeds!

Vinyl wrapped the brushed alloy dash. My wee car had been abused. Roof motor didn't work. Fixed. Dash was scratched and dented. Fixed. New headlights needed. Arrive Thursday. Leather repair kit arrives Thursday. Both bumpers to be painted. I'll be on this thread for weeks to come.

Got my new front bumper installed. :D Just some adjustments to clean lines up. Trying to decide what grills to go with. I have two different sets now. The factory said which is a chrome trim ring with black insert. And the other set is solid Chrome. I've been looking at a wire mesh set that I really like that is a much more aggressive looking Grill. Will get that pinned down today as far as which one to go with. Finishing up today with permanent securement of the bumper to fender and the body. Really enjoying this facelift. My passion is cars, old cars and motorcycles . I am really enjoying the Hands-On transforming of this E85 into my personal little play toy. Will post photos with updates as I go. Plan to start the side skirts this evening but the rain has set in so the tight work space in the garage for viewing what needs to be done may delay that. Any input positive or negative is welcome

What bumper is that? Have you got any links?

Renewed the brake fluid and bled the brakes all round, fitted my new genuine reps :D

Genuine reps seems to be somewhat oxymoronic - surely, genuine OR replcars?

Quick reply for machine monkey. That is a Rieger front bumper. I bought it from the ese tuning. Here is a link to the websitehttp://www.esetuning.com/rieger-front-bumper-for-bmw-z4-e85-pre-facelift-50500.html?gclid=Cj0KEQiAl4TGBRDhgvmikdHPsdABEiQAtBcc8P5P6vkbAr7Mk0ezwKc5OLqVhSW_Wx64_mc4s2KxrBMaAk-d8P8HAQ

Installing the side skirts today and hopefully the rear diffuser / bumper extension. Then she's off for paint. Thanks for the positive comment makes me feel good about the money invested

Fitted 2 stubbies....
1 was a ZHP that improved my gear change immensely.
The other just ruined any chance of listening to the radio at all..... :)

Was booked in for Mike's back box mod tomorrow, but then my garage door frame collapsed trapping my Zed inside.
On a sunny day.
B*stard....

I know what you mean, I fitted two stubby aerials that didn't work before I bought the Pugeot/Citroen one that works perfectly.

You can get it for £8 of eBay, just search "Citroen 6561n3"
Whilst you're on ebay don't forget to pick up a set of Ford wheels and Toyota brakes for your Zed. Long Live the Whippy :poke:
