    Vague Center Steering

Thank you @enuff_zed , I have done a search of "EPS motor adjustment" and found the below thread to guide me. https://z4-forum.com/threads/e85-e86-steering-problems-solved.100725/

    Vague Center Steering

The car is a 2007 3.0SI E86 Coupe The problem is that at 100 km/h (60 mph) there is around an 1 inch (25mm) area of vague steering in the center. The car can jump either way a little when steering is centered. Put the car in sports mode and it's worse. Question. Is there a way to adjust the...

Z4 will Crank but not turn over

Here is a link to a thread on what to check. It's from the E46 guys, they use the same M54 engine as your car. https://www.e46fanatics.com/threads/no-start-guide.1011677/

    Presure plate "ninja star"

Yes, you have to rest the pressure plate again. See YouTube videos on how to do this. Yes, you have to drop the transmission again. Only remove the ninja star once the pressure plate has been bolted to the fly wheel.

E85 3.0 m54 intermittent rpm drop/nearly stall on cold start

Hi Max Do you have an OBD2 scanner for your car? If so, with a hot engine at idle write down and post her the following live data PID's: - Short term fuel trim (STFT) for both banks - Long term fuel trims (LTFT) for both banks - MAF value in g/s.

    Rough idle 3.0si N52b30

Too rich (any fuel trim < 0%). Too much fuel, not enough air. Faulty MAF or Pre-Cat O2 sensor fooling the DME into thinking 1 of the 2 prior causes is happening, blocked Cats. If the problem is bank specific, a leaking injector. Check your cats by looking at the post cat O2 signals with a hot...

    Lumpy Idle upon start

Your screen shot shows the long term fuel trims but not the short term fuel trims. Some vacuum leaks are small enough for the engine DME to manage when in closed loop control (when the engine is hot). They cause misfires when the engine DME is in open loop control (when the engine is cold)...

    Lumpy Idle upon start

Check your fuel trims (4 of them) to see if the car is running lean. If it is, then smoke test it to find the vacuum leaks.

I had a similar problem installing bluebus in an E46. I was using an older iPhone and had to upgrade the software of the phone.

What colour is the Auto Transmission oil in an E86?

I got under the car to inspect and it's definitely auto transmission fluid. Leaking from the electrical connector at the rear of the transmission and dripping down over the sump/pan bolts. Thank you everyone for your help.

What colour is the Auto Transmission oil in an E86?

Thank you. This is what I was thinking may be the case for the modern auto transmission.

What colour is the Auto Transmission oil in an E86?

I've had the E86 up on front jack stand only, while doing a front suspension replacement for the past week. There is now a pool of oil/fluid under the car. Dripped off the 4 rear bolts of the auto transmission sump/pan. The oil/fluid is clearish/yellow and reasonably viscous. Not sure it...

    Calibrating the Steering Angle Sensor?

Closing out this thread Calibrated the steering angle sensor using the instructions at the end of this thread:https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=130939&hilit=Inpa&start=15 It has fixed my "pulling to the left" steering problem.
