    Total Newbie

As others have mentioned, hold out for the 3.0 litre. Surprisingly you'll also get better mpg, not that it matters too much when buying a Zed :driving:

    A Change of Zed

Thanks for the comments. I'm loving the ocean of leather inside and i'm warming to the 108's. Surprisingly, it's my first ever black car, let the battle to keep it clean commence... :-)

I didn't even notice, lol. Can't go wrong with extra leather!

Lol, yep, well spotted. Very nice :)

    A Change of Zed

It does feel a little different, what with the sports seats and different suspension - seems to ride the bumps better than the Roadster. Steering feels a bit lighter at speed too. I'm enjoying the feel of the extra power and the deeper rumble of the engine. It's not boy-racerish, it just sounds...

    A Change of Zed

I'm sure you mean red leather, yep, thought that too, not really sure what the original interior spec was. Quite happy with the centre console area being black though, could have been a bit too much red otherwise. I've also been suspect regarding the 108's and their rep for degrading, but these...

    A Change of Zed

I've been a Zed owner for 2 years now, and what a fantastic couple of years it's been. After getting endless enjoyment from my 3.0 SE Roadster, i have decided to change to the 3.0 SI Coupe. Loving the extra grunt, and such a gorgeous looking thing. So i found this beaut... complete with Angel...

    Average mpg test

I've got the 3.0l roadster, never been below 31mpg. Had it up to 45mpg on the motorway at a steady 70mph, usual motorway driving gives me 40mpg, around town driving is 32mpg.

Ohh dear i think i have a service problem!

I think an Insp 2 was mentioned because apart from the pre-delivery inspection, that's been it for 8 years. I know it's a low mileage motor, but surely you'd still look at this for the car's service history?

Ohh dear i think i have a service problem!

I'm no expert, but as above. I've recently had an oil service done at a BMW specialist. Chatting to them, they advise an oil service every 2 years minimum, the car itself counts down from 16k to its next oil service. If your car hasn't has it done since 2010, it's well over due. Many people on...

    Happy 1st Birthday Zed!

Hi everyone, i'm coming to the end of my first year of Zed ownership - what a superb year it's been! I have a 2004 Sterling Grey 3.0 SE with 85k on the clock, a stubby is the only optional extra on it. Now, i know people love their extras, but for me, the excellent service history was the...

    FS :Z4 Hardtop SOLD

Looks like you've been hard done by there Terryvision. A bit far fetched, but as they say in Mad Max "Break the deal, spin the wheel"!

What products do you use on your soft top?

I saw someone use a steam cleaner on their roof last weekend - just the regular type you'd use at home. Not something i've ever thought of before, not too sure really.

    Stupid MPG Question.

I've noticed it does seem to vary with lots of people. I have a standard 3.0i, and daily to and from work driving in the city i get between 29mpg and 33mpg, depending on traffic. Motorway driving i always get 40mpg doing a steady 70-75. On my last motorway trip i reset the mpg counter as i...
