No repair kit as far as I'm aware for the Z but they do have one for the e46 but that uses a different module. Best option is to get the unit removed and sent off for someone like ecutesting for repair then get it refitted. Repair comes with a lifetime warranty and is about £250. Only downside...

Just had mine repaired through Indy, total cost including lifetime warranty on repair was £425. Ask your Indy if they do this or if not how much they would charge to take it out and refit and then send off yourself to someone like ecutesting.com

I went to a local autobox specialist and they charged me £250 using BMW approved oil. Its the fluid that costs the money!

Car currently at Indy with this fault, unit was removed on Monday and has been sent off for repair. I would expect a part that costs >£1600 to be more reliable than the 60k its done!! Also why hasn't BMW brought out a repair kit for this model as they have done on the e46?

Sorry was my fault. When I looked up on eurocarparts which battery to get they had a long list and I just selected the first Bosch S4 that came up as just assumed it was the correct dimensions for the car. They did in fact list a second S4 further down the list that is actually the correct size...

Hi, I have just bought a new Bosch S4 battery for my car and it all fits fine except that its not long enough for the slide clamp to fit? Have a got the wrong version of the battery or can I adjust the clamp in anyway? Thanks

When I got my last ones I asked the parts guy to check to see when they moved from AL to Bosch and was told that AL is Bosch? I didn't look into it anymore but if they are different the later version is just as poor quality as the originals!

Join the club, new ones 1.5 years ago and fogging again!!! I can't believe BMW haven't fixed this by now with a new design or no 3rd party has created a better quality item.
