Let's show off our other toys here, besides the Z

Too many fish paste sandwiches (on white bread of course)

So if MGB owners eat fish paste sandwiches... what sandwiches would Z owners be eating?.... M&S prawn cocktail sandwiches on wholemeal? πŸ₯ͺπŸ€”πŸ€£
Funny you should mention that.
We were at a big classic show in June with the 'Fauxrrari', having our picnic of Lidl sausage rolls, etc on our Tesco cheap camping chairs. A chap walked past and said to the wife "if you had a spread of caviar, Foie Gras and Bollinger no-one would bat an eyelid". Made her smile.

So do the Jag brigade, just better quality furniture.
as a regular visitor and exhibitor at many car shows with my second hand camping chair, jam and ham butties and can of Coke Zero I can confirm that by far the worst exhibitors are the Mercedes club who usually sprout their own brass Jazz band!

There was a big RR and Bentley club contingent at one show this year. They were in a different league. Bow ties...the lot. And that was just the ladies!

Of course they had the prime spot directly in front of the 'big house'. TBF they did own some amazing old motors.

At least we don't wear string-backed driving gloves!
I never knew why people wore driving gloves. Please enlighten me Iain (as I know you are of that generation). :poke:;)

Is it because 'back in the day' the heaters didn't work very well?

Or car coats with the single vertical stripe on one side.... I remember my neighbours having matching car coats when they went out on expeditions in their citroen picasso πŸ₯ΈπŸ€―

This... The wheels alone are 4k and the total build is just a smidge over Β£10,000

And this... Of course all the carbon is handmade by myself (see signature)

Nice road bike! Here's mine:

IMG_5697.JPG

Scott Foil Premium with a RRP of Β£10,999. I cut corners when buying bikes though (in the same way I do with cars) so paid a fraction of the new price. Chap purchased on a Cycle to Work Scheme, making it tax efficient for him, but then did less than 1K miles before health issues prevented him from riding and I bought off him. Believe the wheels are the generation prior to yours.

Anyways - have seen your stats (I've PM'd you) and Jeez 😲 😲😲 You must be or have been an Elite category rider. Compared to most, I'm already as slow as f*** - but compared to you! Too big and heavy to ride quickly up hills was always my excuse, so used to ride mainly short time trials for which again I just made up the numbers, but this allows you to spend (waste!) money on expensive TT bikes and kit in the pursuit of speed πŸ˜†
