Roof should also close on the key too. Both mine have.Just tried mine, worked OK. Assume you are using the correct procedure?
Unlock on the key fob, release button, then press and hold the unlock button.
After completion the windows don't go back up.
Roof can only be closed from the buttons in the car
To my knowledge it doesn't need setting up in the menu
agree, you look like a bit of a wally standing there in the car park waiting for the roof to go down while next to the car... its shouts 'ooh, look at me!' Mine goes up and down on the key fob also, but I very rarely use itItâs not a great feature as you have to be right next to the car to use it. Used it so rarely. Mainly when someone has parked too close to me.
May look a bit of a wally, but that's no big deal.agree, you look like a bit of a wally standing there in the car park waiting for the roof to go down while next to the car... its shouts 'ooh, look at me!' Mine goes up and down on the key fob also, but I very rarely use it
That's where the e89 excels, it really does look like a transformer (robots in disguiseMay look a bit of a wally, but that's no big deal.
My inner 7 year old, who I really bought the car for, loves watching the roof go down from outside.
What packs have you got?Doesnât open or close roof on my handschalter.
Yes it should. So, be right next to the car and press and hold the unlock button.I have Comfort, Visibility, Tech Pack so it should operate by key?
Maybe worth checking on Bimmercode?
So I remember on my e89 the windows would open from distance when trying to open the roof, but the roof mechanism would only open when right next to the car. Thanks @ori , it does work, but only when very close to the car. I donât remember my last z4 needing me to be so close, but it was a few years ago so impossible to be sure.
