Silicone grease spray

Hi all, I'm doing my roll bar bushings soon and I see that Silicone grease is required to stop squeaking. Would the spray version be okay as I have some to hand in my workshop? Mike.

The only thing to watch with spray silicone grease is to put plenty on. The initial 'spray' is mostly propellant which evaporates to almost nothing.
Because of the above, I find it messy to use. Spray copper grease is even worse!

Thank you Pondy, I hadn't thought of that, just being a bit of a cheap skate as I already have lots of it.

Reminds me of using some lacquer to touch something up the other day: Spray it into the lid or a yougurt tub to boil off the propellant rather than straight on.

I did it with some rattle can paint the other day. It was weird as the paint was then like water and was useless. Must be something else in the propellant that evaporated away.

Odd. That was always the info in the olde Haynes manuals of yore which is why I thought to try it with the lacquer (never done it before.) Maybe water based paint is just too, err, watery now.
