What have you done to your car today?

Heat gun low setting, circular motions, slow and steady, just let it build up heat gradually takes a solid 5-10 mins. Don't get too close or you'll burn it. Once it hits 100'C the leather tightens up and pulls out creases and sag. Once it's done, let it cool, then Repeat as they'll come back ever so.slight. once it's cooled, add some leather conditioner to keep the leather soft but tight.
Think I need to get braver with the temp. Thanks

Finished up the interior trim swap to replace the silver plastic poverty dash/centre console trim with the fancier brushed aluminium version. Not a tough job, just a bit of a faff and knowing which bits have to be removed and the order in which to remove them. The aluminium centre console trim doesn't have the cutout for the passenger airbag light, so stashed the light underneath just in case it not being plugged in would trigger an airbag light or something (I didn't want to have to take it apart again!).

Just fitted a double din Eonon X20 Linux based unit with CarPlay. Makes such a difference. I previously had a cheap single din car play unit in there but it was too small and the touch was pretty naff. The X20 has much better touch response and the larger, brighter screen is much better.

I 3D printed the surround and then wrapped in carbon fibre style wrap. All in all it’s cost me just over £100 for the whole lot and is a big improvement over the standard radio.

I would recommend this for anyone wanting to upgrade the standard head unit. Best part is it’s fully reversible and I could revert it back to standard in about five minutes if I wanted to.

Not to my own E85, but whilst visiting my rather poorly father in Sussex I have coded an SBSL for @jasecasecarr, activated headlights as DRLs on a facelift 2.0 and attempted to realign a drivers door window on a 3.0si.
This last one ended in failure as it turns out the local garage completely removed the glass and regulator to replace the usual stretched outer handle cable and on reassembly they left out and lost the grooved metal spacer on the rear glass mounting, so no amount of adjustment will push the top edge in far enough!
Next Sussex trip I’m coming armed with spares and a precautionary door membrane as no doubt they butchered that too!

Not usually fan of these mods, but this actually looks great!
Did you design the 3d print file or have you found it somewhere?
Are steering wheel commands working with the unit?

Not my design - I downloaded the fascia from a chap who was kind enough to develop it and upload it for anyone to use. Annoyingly I can't find the thread now but it was within the last year. I paid a company called Surface Scan to 3D print the fascia from the STL file and it cost my £42 delivered. It is made from PETG and is pretty sturdy. I have the STL file if you want to PM me your email and i'll send it over. These will only take a short chassis double din which does limit the options a bit. There is about 11cm space to work with. The Eonon X20 is only 10cm deep so that works well. Steering wheel commands do work with this unit and it also comes with a reversing camera if you feel inclined to fit it. It is literally two screws that holds the surround in place so it you want to swap back to standard it's a dead easy job. I've tucked the original vents and radio away in case I every want to go back to standard.

On a side note, if you do burn it, make sure you let it cool, before using colour lock or scratch doctor to repair.

Fitted new wheels to the car. Appropriately attired (attyred?) Fronts weigh 7kg less than old ones.

Replaced the crush washer on the diff that was leaking slightly and installed a Ctek connector for the battery. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to use it where I store the coupe during winter.

As today was the first dry day for a few weeks, I hit the car with G3 resin and ceramic coating. Paint needs a lot of TLC.

Where did you install the Ctek connector? In the engine compartment? Or on the battery?
I have been thinking about installing a quick connector under the hood. But came to the conclusion that the wires had to be extended to make it work?

@fredej I installed it directly onto the battery. As discussed in this topic CLICK, in the e85/86 you can install it in both places. For me the trunk is more convenient.
