BD57 WYF - Grey MC

Have run this through Tony's site and it is impossible to match up  Unless anyone else can find it?

https://auctions.hills-motors.co.uk/auction/items/details/2007-bmw-z-series-z4-m-coupe-3246cc-manual-6-speed-coupe/297163

LF78630

LF78630 is production 11/06 yet this car is a 57 plate? Interested to know how you narrowed it down

A third Sepang MC crashed?

Ouch. Glad to hear you’re still with us, CRA1G.

That thread makes for some sobering reading.

Very useful thread, a bit sad but important, thanks for this @flimper.
Does this include cars that have been broken for parts/profit without being written off?
I can think of one or two parted out on here in the last few years.
Bookmarked. 👍🏻

17. YC56 ZFO/LD39665/Carbon Black MR
Just to validate, although this car was hit whilst stationary and the insurance paid out, allowing a buyback / settlement figure on the car. The insurer consciously decided not to categorise it as a write off. It is not a Cat C / D / S / N. There is no recorded damage against the car.

I have recently taken ownership of this car. And despite being extremely good condition, without a single advisory in its MOT history, with multiple structural reports confirming all is in order, with a high / undetectable level of repair completed - it's listed here as a write off.

This is the only RHD carbon black Z4MR with Imola red interior remaining in the UK with a clean title, despite accident repair (which I'm sure many cars have had) two of the others were written off, and the fourth was exported to South Africa when new.

Therefore I feel it should be removed from the write off list as it's still on the road.

There is history including the previous damage with photos in threads on this forum, which should remain intact, to be transparent and highlight that it has had repairs and was hit whilst stationary.

Since going back on the road it's only been serviced and maintained by BMW and RBM Hants.

I thought srhutch has an ///MR in that combination? Perhaps his is Sapphire Black?
Unless it was bought back into the country?

Mine is LD39665

This is the data I have to work from:

As far as I know, his was never written off or exported, so it must be one of the other black paint options.

Regarding your data, there is a spreadsheet compiled by a forum member that would probably interest you. It details all of the cars produced by VIN, specifications and country. I don't have a link, but this is your cue Mr Tidy!

Amazing. I found it and managed to use my sources to expand on it and validate vehicle information. There are two remaining including mine. DR06ZED is the other.

@RyanZ4M what website is that image from please?
Here’s the link @BMWZ4MC was referring too…
It was a multitude of different sites. I then paid for HPI checks to validate my information on all four cars - which turned out to be correct.

I'll make a thread as it's taken a few days to identify where to get all of the data for free compiling insurance databases, police databases and free car checking tools.

I had to get AI to support with identifying full vin numbers, then convert vin to reg on police sites.

As mentioned, I'll create a thread on how to do it. There aren't many z4ms, when you take into account build options, focusing on our own build types, it would just take us a short period to fully elaborate on the detail shared on your link, and build a really in-depth data set as a community.

I got AI to overlay the data set onto a watermark image for presentation. But I also have the data in an excel format.
