They always seem to cost more when I look for tyres Mr TidyI haven't but I did get a great price on a set from Black Circles a few years ago so they may be worth a look.
Yes, I used Asda a few years ago for my wife’s car and I noticed this afternoon that etyres use the same tyre shops as then.I use Asda tyres mate and their web sites look identical. AD09's are same price on both and they use the same list of fitters, I'd give em a shot.
I’ll have a look at them, thanks.I used them once..service ie order processing / delivery was crap..Camskill is my go to
From these replies on here they seem a bit of a mixed bagI used them last year, but they sent the wrong tyres (website & order was for Continental AllSeasonContact 2 tyres, but they sent the older generation ones).
Refund was processed immediately though, and they apologised for showing only the new version on their website when they’d not received a single set of them yet.
It's always worth having a 'ring round' of your local tyre dealers, Mikey. If you have, or can find, a local fitter who is a Goodyear 'dealer' they will usually match or beat any online prices IME.Has anyone used etyres? They are £10.00 cheaper for GY assy 6 than National at the moment and £15.00 cheaper than Kwikfit, the price includes fitting at a local tyre shop. Seems too good, Mike.
Okay thank you Pondy, I used to ring around but they always seemed to be more expensive than the same online ones. Perhaps it would be worth trying the company that etyres uses for the fitting. It's always worth having a 'ring round' of your local tyre dealers, Mikey. For instance, I have a local garage who are Kumho 'dealers'. They were quite a bit cheaper for these than anything online.
Are you in desperate need for them? I'd wait and see if Kwik-Fit have any offers on? I got 20% off a set of 4 Conti Sport Contact 7's in January. Camskills are cheaper but that discount swayed it.Has anyone used etyres? I have the MOT coming up and the rears are almost down to the depth bar, 3 weeks away. The worse is they will probably give me an advisory for them. I got them from Kwikfit last time, this year they haven't got a discount yet on GY, National has but the one in Newton Abbot, the counter guy was rude. Thing is etyres has the GY assy 6 for £130.16 whereas Kwikfit is £145.00 and National is £139.91. But I will wait another week to see what happens. I did this last time and drove my poor wife insane keep reporting back every day or so. I don't know how these tyre shops can fit them for cheaper than they sell them for over the counter. Are you in desperate need for them? I'd wait and see if Kwik-Fit have any offers on? Yes I will, thank you mmm-five.I'd call etyres if you can to ensure they actually have/can get the exact tyres you want...and then order.
My issue was only caused by their stock system and website description not matching up.
Unless they're going to be sat, unused, on the car in the sun for another 5 years, then it won't make much (if any) difference. So if you expect to need to replace the, in 2 year/30,000 miles, then it will not might the slightest difference to their performance. However, I have just noticed the dates on them, one is 2024 and the other one 2025, making one of them the same age as the fronts I bought 2 years ago. False economy?![]()
30,000! my rears only lasted just under 16,000 and I drive like an old man.Unless they're going to be sat, unused, on the car in the sun for another 5 years, then it won't make much (if any) difference. Unused and properly stored tyres can legally be sold 'as new' until they're about 5 years old.
I used mine enough to require a new set at least once a year, so it was never likely to become an issue.
