NO LONGER NEEDED D

Great looking car good luck with sale

What aftermarket projectors did you go for? I’ve been looking at doing this as a project

Very nice, amazing spec with full leather. I so need full champagne leather doorcards for mine!

Welcome to the forum and GLWTS.

My first Coupe was Ruby Black but with Pearl Grey interior, but the colour really pops in the sun.

FWIW if you are looking for a quick sale I think you'll need to be flexible with your price.

but also not desperate for it to go so willing to be patient.
So many people with cars that don't sell say that. Surely you either want to sell it, or you don't? If you do then the "I'm in no rush to sell" type phrase puts people off, as they will instantly think you are not bothered unless you get premium money.

It's up to you, obviously, but I have lost count of the number of cars that don't sell due to the seller's perceived attitude.

It does look very, very good in the pictures, however. Which it needs to for the money you want for the mileage. And auto E86s are not as sought after as manuals. In my opinion.

I did say I have a bit of wiggle room on the price. But as I don’t need the money immediately I don’t need to appeal to everyone, I only need one person who is looking for what this car offers. Appreciate what you are saying though, it is little cliched I guess, but I don’t want to just chop it in to a low ball bid.

Mileage wise, it’s under 5k miles a year average. For an engine that’s known for being robust, and has been well maintained I don’t think this is a big issue.
As said, it is your car and your prerogative to try and sell it for whatever you see fit.

I hope you get what you want. GLWTS

You purchased the car in the middle of October last year from a dealer who had the car on sale since the beginning on July. It took the dealer over 3 months and a price drop from £11k to 10k to achieve a sale.

5 months later, that same car is not worth the £13,450 that you're asking.

If you want the car gone, price it between £8.5k and £9k.

Keen on this at a sensible price, looks lovely, but even the original purchase price of £10k was high for an auto in my opinion. Good luck with the sale.

If that is true, then £10k from a dealer is an absolute steal in my opinion. Price now is high to be fair, but OP has said he is flexible.

Interesting thread........ How much extra does a manual add? What would this be worth if it was seeing as people have brought it up.
Personally speaking i would never want a performance car thats an auto of this era but understand some need it to be one, how much extra would this be if it was manual?
I'm just curious, I have my dream e86 so I'm just being nosy 😉 (it's a manual lol)

I'm not sure how much more a manual is worth as I just wouldn't want an Auto!

All 3 of my E86s have been manual. I paid £9,600 for my Ruby Black one in 2014 on 54K miles with full BMWSH - maybe I should have kept it?

I’d expected a bit more support about the market being too low on these tbh, but all good.
Can't agree on that. Over £10k for any 18 year old BMW with a pretty standard N52 engine is still very expensive. Not yours, per se; all of them.

But I am not an E86 fanboy (and I ain't selling one), so my opinion doesn't matter.

Thanks! I’d expected a bit more support about the market being too low on these tbh, but all good.

Like you say it will sell or it won’t. I have some wriggle room on offers, but if it’s too pricey to sell now so be it. I’ll hang on to it until the market gets where it should be.

There aren’t many cars out there that have had this amount of preemptive maintenance completed, along with genuinely useful and sympathetic mods, and perhaps the ad needs to be clearer on this.
I’ve just purchased a retromods light upgrade so will feedback how that goes- I couldn’t justify a Morimoto kit so I’m hopeful this will add value and be a good mod for either my M or the coupe I have…

I would keep the E86. That really is lovely and the work done makes sense - especially the audio.
Autos aren't for everyone, but you have one of the last of these and they will appreciate in value.
I suspect if you sell it you will regret it.
