Hey Guys and Gals,

New to here as I just bought myself a z4 and acquired a new plate. Found a plate with my initials so looking to sell my plate that’s perfect for a Z4
Irish plate: TJ Z4 66
If spaced correctly it looks lovely front and back!

Sorry I missed that. I have been offered 1,500 for a broker to list, but I’d be happy with 750.

Haha, thank you. They offered to list for 1500 or stock it for 300 and buy today, so indicating it might be worth something!

As you've only just joined, and I'm sure wouldn't want people to think you only did so to flog a plate, why not nip over to the Newbie section and introduce yourself with a photo or two of your zed?

FYI the DVLA has TLZ466 up for £399 which includes the transfer fee of £80. Just saying....

Sounds like a great idea. In it now ;)

Ah ok. I thought for a moment you meant they had the exact plate on there..! Good for reference and I might take what the broker offered to stock if that’s the case. Not entirely rushed to get rid of it, so I will see if I get any nibbles listed with the broker over the next month and put it on retention.

As far as I am understand it, the broker will only offer to list it for you and then, once sold, they would simply then take a commission for doing so. They won't actually give you any money up front.

So you could no doubt list it for a million pounds if you wanted to!

Also spacing like that will only get you tickets from ANPR and traffic light cams a plenty.
It’s not like in the last century where they actually had to pulled you over to nick you.
Now it’s letter, £90 fine, points I think and also have the plate taken away.

Thanks for the heads up but they are show plates for the photo 😁 I have the dealer plates that I use day to day to avoid any trouble!

Never had a problem with any 'creative' spacing TBH. And I've had a few recently.
IF I got a fine for any spacing on a plate which was sold solely because it meant something when spaced differently, I would refuse to pay and see them in court.

The plate above is a worthless Northern Irish plate as TJZ 466. But the DVLA would want £320 for it BECAUSE it can read TJ Z4 66. For them to fine someone for representing it as they sold it as is just not cricket IMO. They can't have it both ways.
