Unfortunately this weekend is a little bit too soon - especially for a trip to Donny! The second one that Zed Baron posted looks a good option too but need to be quick per the sellers situation.

Hey, I am based in Cambridgeshire and I am thinking of selling mine to get something more practical, a Z4 while working as a farmer is not to say the least. Mine fits your budget, has had lots of work done including clutch, roof motor and suspension. It is a manual which has done 104,000 miles. Please contact me if you would be interested and I will send some photos over.Hi Everyone!
I've finally seen the light, and have sold my classic Land Rover Series 3 so I can make the jump into a slightly faster and more comfortable mode of transport.
I'm in the UK, down South, and at the moment I'm just soaking in all the posts here while I keep my eye out for a clean 2.5 or 3.0 Z4 that is within my modest budget (only £6k max!). I'm a big fan of the E85/E86 although I admit I have had my head turned a little by the hard top convertibles of the later models. I'm keen to do things at home - you kind of have to if you own an old land rover - but I do worry that a much more modern car will be a bit of a stretch for my very modest skillset.
Anyway, the forum gods told me to say hello - so hello!
I know nothing about farming but I would guess a tractor would be a bit more practical? I bet you can't get a decent one of those for £6k.I am thinking of selling mine to get something more practical, a Z4 while working as a farmer is not to say the least.
Hi, thanks for the heads up. Nice looking car. It’s not quite what I’m looking for. Best of luck with the saleHey, I am based in Cambridgeshire and I am thinking of selling mine to get something more practical, a Z4 while working as a farmer is not to say the least. Perhaps, but really it was more to do with the overall seating position and visibility. If something with a lighter interior comes up relatively locally I’ll go give it another try.Perhaps one with a lighter or red interior might suit you better and feel a bit less claustrophobic.![]()
It's a BMW! As long as you can see forwards, who cares about all the commoners behind you?Perhaps, but really it was more to do with the overall seating position and visibility. If something with a lighter interior comes up relatively locally I’ll go give it another try.
Miserable!

It doesn't help that the Sport models all have a black headlining too. My first Coupe was Ruby Black but had Pearl Grey leather which was a good contrast and meant the interior wasn't as gloomy! However, once sat in it and with seat adjusted appropriately I found it was just not for me at all. Rear visibility was appalling, and the cabin felt very claustrophobic.
I’m honestly gutted! I was so excited this morning, but it seems that a Z4 is not for me after all. I appreciate that a roadster will not have those problems with the top down, but as I intended to use it more than just high days and holidays, I don’t think I would get on with the convertible any better.
I will take a look again at the E89. I had sort of ruled it out, but mainly because the E86 is so damn beautiful. I’ll keep an eye out locally.Might an E85 with a hardtop or an E89 work better for you?

However, it is good to see that you've been converted away from the idea of a roadster with a bodged tin roof stuck on it.![]()
