Sadly I’m finding that I’m drifting into a universe occupied by the likes of enuff_Zed and Pondrew …

The FB style ‘etiquette’ of copyright J D Vance subtle introduction and absorbing the delicate cultural / political atmosphere and nuances before gently enquiring in a most polite way on how this august body of learned disciples may reach into the deepest recesses of their vast intellectual reservoirs at times antagonises me…did I mention that?

Peter, there have been many a time in my car buying history when I needed a voice that said 'don't do it!', you only say things with the best intensions and I know how helpful you have been to others not only on here but off line also :thumbsup:

I don't think I am brutal at all. Nowadays I consider what I post much more than I used to (as even I used to wince sometimes at what came out).

Many people have told me that I just post what many others think but are too polite to say so. Politeness is not something I am afflicted with. I say what I see, like it or not. Admittedly I do often post before thinking, but no-one's perfect! :)

I will speak as a relative newcomer here, and so not yet au fait with the etiquette of the forum.
The car the OP asked about was "ambitiously" priced for the modifications that made it worse than standard.

B21, appears to be both a gentleman with knowledge, and a readiness to share that with others - albeit in his own unfiltered manner. A trait shared by a few others i note 😉

Unfortunately, being told you have automotive taste about as appealing as Donald Trump's interior decor, can lead to needing time away to reflect on the life decisions that led you to this point. 🙂

Put another way....
People here will try to help. You may not realise it because they may tell you something you don't like/want to hear.
BUT nothing I have seen here suggests any genuine ill will towards others - even by the resident grumpy so and so 😄
