How much does a full wrap cost? How durable is it and does the paint underneath need to be in decent condition?
I ask because areas of my car are showing micro blistering from poor respray jobs by the looks of it,
Blistering might be rust or corrosion.
If you were going to wrap, the surface needs to be prepped or the surface defects will show through the wrap.
It’s best to tackle the problem with the paint first.
Wrapping is disposable, it’s a fun way of switching the look of your car on a whim for the rich, not a long term solution like paint.
Wraps can creep past the £5k mark, depending on finish, skill and the extent. IE into door shuts etc.
Perhaps a skilled wrap shop and a basic finish might cost £1500-£2000
Some backstreet garages could likely do it cheaper, but it depends if they cut on the car or not, and how good it goes into the shut lines.
I don’t think it’s a viable option. They can look good though, like the lava one posted above.
