Builders can make garages whatever size they like, as the consensus is that modern cars don't need to be garaged, so garaging is intended for storage.I feel your pain. The only time I had a double garage it was set at 90 degrees to the drive and had two diddy doors, so unsurprisingly never had a car inside but it was handy for my motorbikes!
It really is time the size of a standard garage got increased to reflect the monster size of modern cars, and fitting single doors on double garages should be made illegal.![]()
