Just a roadside air test should be used as the cars drive pastSome police forces are recording higher drug driving offences in comparison to excess alcohol, so it will not catch the druggies. Perhaps they could develop a device to check your eyesight, which I am sure would fail a fair proportion of drivers.
What a lot of nonsense.
Cars in the EU are not built with breathalysers.
Or just disable stop-start! Pity Google AI didn't mention that! How will a built in breathalyser work with start stop engine technology ? Google ai states
Built-in car breathalyzers, also known as ignition interlock devices, will work with start-stop engine technology by requiring a breath test before the engine can be restarted after a temporary shutdown. The device will analyze the breath sample and prevent the engine from restarting if the alcohol level is above the legal limit.
No more racing off the Trafic lights
Thats the obvious answer, but rather goes against the concept of fuel economy and saving the planet. That start stop was developed for. Be interesting to see how this plays out.Or just disable stop-start! Pity Google AI didn't mention that!

You mean it goes against the 'claimed' fuel economy savings and saving the planet...in as much as manufacturers use it to game the fuel efficiency scores? Just like 'Eco' mode on my F31 where it just turns your 335D into a 316D so that you have to floor it to move away from junctions, and makes the cabin more humid as it's turned the AC onto 'eco mode'?Thats the obvious answer, but rather goes against the concept of fuel economy and saving the planet.
