Hi everyone
I'm thinking about splitting my 108s myself ready for my local alloy refurb place to sort (much cheaper if I do it this way).
When you have undone the bolts on your 108s, how do they undo?
Progressive feel?
Are the locktighted in and go with a snap?
When you've snapped/sheered one off did it move then sheer or just snap?
Am thinking about the best method to try to get them all out without problems obviously - so am thinking soak all bolts in WD40 / plus gas overnight before hand, then use some halfords shock and unlock freeze spray on each one before attempting to undo.
Anyone got any other tips??

Re: Splitting 108s - bolt undoing question
Take it easy - they are easy to strip! I have knackered two, one of which needed drilling out, a real pain.
Soaking in penetrating oil shouldn't hurt, never used the spray you mention.
I would say one hand making sure the bit stays well seated in the bolt, the other on the end of a medium sized breaker bar and take it steady
