BMW E85 and E86 Wheels and Tyres Thread

Hello Wouter,

Would you be so kind and take maybe 2 pics of tyre profile? I would like to compare them to PS4.
I was wondering if they are closer to PS4s and maybe PSS rather than PS4 in the terms of aesthetics :P
Thank you. Dont ask why I have this kind of question haha.

Cheers
Phil

I didn’t think these would fit based on other peoples comments on offset.
Style 42 17x8 et 20. 225/45/17 front 245/40/17 rear

Stock height. No rubbing that I’ve noticed.

Here's what I have on my 2004 e85 Z4.

M Parallel - Silver Painted With Polished Face
18"x9.5" – front alloy (I think?)
225/40/18 – front tires
18"x9.5" – rear alloy
255/35/18 – rear tires

BMW Z4 sunset.jpg

18" 313's from a 1 series, 7.5" ET49 fronts, 8.5" ET52 rears. The fronts were noticeably tucked in compared to the 108's so I'm running 16mm Forge spacers all round.

Does anyone know if BMW style 230 will fit an E86 coupe?

Front tyres being 235/35/19 and rears 265/30/19

Thanks

Hi AnilS

I remembered this post as I think these wheels are lovely.

May not be much help as Andra doesn’t mention tyre size but they went on his E85 ok so presuming the same fit for your E86?? HTH

Thanks Andy. Checked the link and they look great. My CSLs have gone so I may look further at 230s but I'm fully expecting to sell my car this so I'll ponder.

Thanks again.

230s should fit fine.
Et37 offset at the front is equivalent to running a 10mm spacer with a typical (108, MV2) wheel
Et39 at the rear plus an extra half inch of wheel is equivalent to running a 17.4mm spacer, but is still considerably less aggressive than a 224’s et30, which many members run.

Temporary gloss black MV2's on Black Sapphire roadster while my 107s are being powdercoated. Maybe useful for those thinking of such a look.

As much as I love my Style 32’s, they unfortunately do not clear my BBK without a thick spacer on front. So I decided to search for another set of aggressive offset OEM wheels. Considered the usual suspects (e.g. style 260) but actually found something even more unique.

Picked up a mint set of style 641’s, which are the factory winter wheel recommendations for the F8x m3/4. Because it’s a winter setup, the rims are slightly narrower than the standard F8x M wheels, which makes it an even better fit for the E85/86 M models. Slightest rub on full lock but pulling the camber pin should alleviate that.

Specs are 19x8.5 et 27, 19x9.0 et29. Tires are 225/40 and 255/35-19.
