No need for a poll. Silver is the only colour that works, the rest looks cr*p

Difficult one, it has to be darker than the body colour, so ideally I would say graphite or very dark grey as I don’t really like black wheels as there needs to be some contrast with the tyre.

Good luck

I voted for Silver too.

Although Shadow Chrome might work quite well - it just wasn't an option!

FFS!
I don't know what 'shadow chrome' is Iain, sounds like a shade of grey to me! :? I am a very simple soul. You all know that by now!

I am torn between a gloss grey (same as the car essentially). or just good old silver. If only wheel suppliers did a 'try before you buy'.

I selected grey, because I had a space grey car once and it came with gun metal CSL reps and they had a satin finish. Car looked ace, I think the gloss finish doesn’t suit grey wheels. Plus, wheels still looked good dirty.

Grey

Can use this app to check what they look like without arsing around with photoshop. I remember using it at the time of original post

Easy choice, I voted Silver, I don’t like black wheels as they make the tyres look old and dirty. Silver always looks nice and sets off the car paint whatever the colour.

And there I was thinking you were a discerning man with impeccable taste Andrew!

When I took my wheels for a refurb they a wheel of every colour you can imagine hanging on a wall in reception.

I was thinking of Shadow Chrome (or shiny grey for you) for a Silver Grey car but they couldn't guarantee being able to recreate the same shade. So I chose one of the 4 silver options they could always match. That way when one got curbed as it always will I wouldn't need to get at least 2 redone for a match!

Silver is the safe option. It will look fine. The others are a gamble and if you don’t like the outcome. What will you do? Black wheels do nothing for me. You lose all the definition of the detail on the wheels. But one man’s meat is another man’s poison and all that. :D

Thanks everyone for the opinions and votes. After much deliberation, and I mean MUCH deliberation I have settled on these; 763M copies in satin black (I'm not a fan of black wheels but think they will suit my car). Shown on an F30 but it is grey!
Did some man maths and a small amount of white lies and they have been passed by the finance department ('er indoors)! :D

Well, I hope they have a decent second hand value when you sell them in two weeks then. That looks gash :o
