I voted silver though...but I'm getting on a bit to be fair!

So did I, and so am I!
Just think they will look 'right' on my car. If it all goes pear-shaped I am a dab hand with spray paint! :D

Well, I hope they have a decent second hand value when you sell them in two weeks then.
A very similar conversation was had with the 'finance department' this evening, TBH

She said "I thought you were selling that car".
Me "No I'm keeping it".
Her "until you change your mind next week".
Me "yeah whatever love. You want me to get some cheap Baileys?"
Her "it needs to be cheap; the money you waste on those bloody cars"
Got to love 'em, eh?

Thanks everyone for the opinions and votes. After much deliberation, and I mean MUCH deliberation I have settled on these; 763M copies in satin black (I'm not a fan of black wheels but think they will suit my car). Shown on an F30 but it is grey!
Did some man maths and a small amount of white lies and they have been passed by the finance department ('er indoors)! :D

Not mineral grey, but Space grey.

OK. So eventually sorted. I know it's not a Z4 (it's much better :poke: ) but here is what I went for:

Just catching up. I would have gone orbit grey.

But looking at the pics, the black works for me too. At the end of the day, nothing matters as long as you like it.

Had this dilemma a few years ago.

Coupe came with gunmetal grey wheels when they are clean they look ok, one trip out they look dull as anything. They also loose the intricacy of the wheel design like the image below you can barely see them in certain light.

You can see from this image what I mean they are both as dirty but the gunmetal is dull the silver is shiny. Ideal look is the image above but it's impossible to keep them that finish.

Another problem if you catch a dark wheel it stands out like a store thumb and you have to refurb it.

I do think the dark colours particularly the darker greys look great, classy and edgy/stealthy but I feel like it can be a little safe.

I have a Sterling grey and I am toying the ideal of gold/copper colours.

No need for a poll. Silver is the only colour that works, the rest looks cr*p

Depending on the style of the alloy, some end up just looking like this but ETTO.

I actually agree. However, I was after a certain 'look', which those black wheels achieve IMO. The pictures are not great TBH as it was a cold, misty, December morning. It looks much better in the flesh The new wheels sit a lot further out than the 704Ms and have 20mm wider tyres front and rear, so fill the arches much better.

I think yours are a style that works. The dark/black wheels on the picture of the Z4MC are just 'lost' IMHO.

Tom's photo at the bottom really highlights how much better silver wheels look to my eyes. 8)

It does to me too!

I removed the all too predictable CSL Reps from my Silver Grey car as I managed to buy a set of 224s and was torn over what colour to have when they were refurbed. Went with Silver in the end as it was about the only colour they could guarantee to match, and now I'm glad I did. :)

Pondy is like the government. 61% says silver, 18 for black and Pondy concludes that black is the colour to go for.

I don't know about where you come from, matey, but who said anything about a democracy here? :P

I asked for opinions. The opinions were mostly wrong, so here we are. :D
