Painted Calipers - Express Yourself !
Slightly digging up an old thread here....
I'm looking at doing this soon (when the snow stops and the temperature is above -2..), how long would you leave the car to allow the paint to cure? I'm using the car as my daily drive so just need an idea as to how much time to allow to do the job.
What do you use to clean them down? Looking at the thread it seems some say brake cleaner and others a general degreaser - is any preferred? Do you tape everywhere up around it to avoid the paint on the disk etc or just take your time not to/bit of both? I see some have sprayed but ill most likely be using the trusty paintbrush.

Do mine in situ one wheel at a time i mask out the areas i do not want the paint to go and use Simoniz Hight Tempereture paint i then spray two coats onto the hub which will dry very quickly i then remove the masking tape and hand paint the calipers using Hammerite Smooth which will also dry very quickly it can be done in one day no probs.adam04 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 10:32 pmSlightly digging up an old thread here....

As above, it'd be fine to drive with the evening after being done, but its advised you don't go blasting the paint with a jet wash for a few days.

Got the paint. I've gone for blue, the car is Titanium silver, dark grey alloys and black leather so I decided red might be a bit bold and didn't really fit in with the car. Just waiting for a dry day now to get it done!

Some inspiring options here but I have just scrolled through the whole thread and my favourites are actually these right near the beginning!
But then my favourite ice cream is actually vanilla!
