Z4MC Ruby Black / Amarone - 105k £13,000

Well a lot has happened since I removed the car from sale back in April last year but unfortunately despite the fun I've had in the intervening 4,000 miles I am effectively back to where I started in terms of having to sell the Z4MC.

With my 2 eldest lads hitting 21 & 18 last year we are now a 5 car family including the Z4MC and on the basis the Mrs doesn't & won't drive it the pressure she's applying to sell it is getting unbearable - I know I know hens and trousers and all that but I'm all about the easy life

So I am looking to sell the Z4MC in addition to the SAAB convertible I own ahead of taking delivery of a new BMW i3S in April - yes I know it's a step change but not unlike my switch from the Merc C300e which I ran before purchasing the Z4MC.

Since I had it up in April I have had the following work carried out:

29/04/19 (100,980 mies) - MOT with full Oil service including differential oil
02/07/19 - New set of rear tyres (coming off the PZero's I went with the Nexen N Fera SU1 at following the reccomedation of the local tyre fitter I use and have been suitably impressed)
12/08/19 - all 4 wheels refurbished with new centre caps
03/09/19 (102,907 miles) - BC racing coilers fitted along with new Discs & pads all round (as you can imagine this has transformed the ride and handling)

In short I have probably spent north of £2,000 since I removed it from sale but have also put on 4,000 mile and it's fair to say the front bumper and bonnet are in need of a respray due to some of the lacquer peeling - what can I say I prefer to drive the car than detail it so went to the local car wash more times than I should have

Anyway despite the additional expense and in view of the required paint correction I am still looking for offers around £14,500 - it will only be on here for a few weeks before I list it publicly and that will be probably after I get it resprayed so the price will definitely be higher.

Original listing should provide all the photo's you need but feel free to PM me if you want anymore https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=114074

Sorry to hear you are feeling you have to sell it after you had decided to keep it - and I've got one now!

GLWTS.

Yes, I'm sure anyone who has had one knows the answer - just awesome!

I'm trying to kid myself that I will get back in one in a few years but in all honesty I suspect the cost will be prohibitive when my time comes around again - in moments of realisation like this I find there is only one solution (malt whisky)

Hi,

Anything done re rod bearings?

BW
M
When I bought the car the dealer in Cardiff told me the previous owner who had a number of ///M vehicles had them done at 85k but there was no documentary evidence - I had the valve clearances checked at the last inspection II so the next service is an oil service but I was considering getting it done when the next Inspection I is due.

To be honest power delivery is consistent through the rev range right up towards 8k when I've had the nerve a space to get close but appreciate having them done provides added piece of mind - in my ownership its been over serviced from an oil perspective and I've only run it on momentum but let's not open the premium fuel debate

Extended Aramone
Amarone has always been my favourite and looks well with the Ruby Black exterior - hopefully the photos show how little wear the interior is showing even on the drivers seat bolster.

The extended the leather on the dash is an added bonus and I haven't seen another with the same interior at any of the meets I have attended - I think it's the only 1 in the UK with this combination

Is this one of the others? £1400 more though.

Not quite.

You have extended leather, including the centre console, visors anda pillars. The other car has standard boggo plastic.

Lovely looking interior, are you sure the colour is amarone? it looks more like dark sepang on my monitor. Amarone is more ox blood red, where this is brown. Love the dash.

Just checked the detail using the Vin Decoder - definitely Amarone and in actual fact I don't think there is an original option it doesn't have.

Thanks for that. If we lived in the UK I would be knocking on your door. Hope it sells for you soon.

Hi Gwest44,

Is your Z4MC still for sale? Have you had any rod bearing work done?

Thanks,

SparkyZ
Yes mate still for sale.

When I bought the car the dealer in Cardiff told me the previous owner who had a number of ///M cars in his collection had the rod bearings done at 85k but there was no documentary evidence - I had the valve clearances checked at the last inspection II and have the associated report.

To be honest power delivery is consistent through the rev range right up towards 8k when I've had the nerve a space to get close but appreciate having them done provides added piece of mind - in my ownership its been over serviced from an oil perspective and I've only run it on premium fuel.

As mentioned above it had new racing coilers fitted along with new discs and pads all round only 2,000 miles ago and comes with the essential mods - strut brace, Eventuri intake and weighted aluminium gear knob

Big price reduction of £1,500 for February - but at £13,000 it comes without the strut brace or Eventuri intake.

If you've ever fancied the ///M Coupe experience now's your chance but hurry up before I change my mind

Hello
Don't suppose you ever come anywhere near Milton Keynes with it do you?
Would like to come and take a look but i'm right in the middle of moving house and won't be able to get up to Sheffield in the daylight, But if still available in a couple of weeks i'll be able to.
Thanks
Basil the dog
