You can still get its arse out in the corners even in comfort mode. A car for all drivers :-)
Is the 35iS like a 1er - Comfort or DTC off.

Sports & Sports+ mode, due to brain dead throttle mapping, only serve to make the car harder to drive & give you less control.

The 35iS is progressive when using Sport or Sport + as opposed to normal. It is certainly not harder to drive in sport. I don't bother with sport plus but sport is good.

Steering and suspension firmer but not unduly so. DCT gearchanges up the box almost bang in but just rapidly and not uncomfortably at all. The car is more alive and is nothing like pushing the sport button on a Z4M which merely seemed to increase it's abilty to kangaroo up the road and give no control !

So in comfort mode all the action happens up in the last 1/3rd of the throttle travel? I've driven so many cars in the last 3 months I can't remember which is which!

In comfort mode the action seems to happen when it fancies it - you can put your foot down and you get a loud noise but not much happens - then you have your neck broken by the power suddenly being delivered.

It's like the car's thinking "Ah comfort mode nice and easy not much to do" - you press the load pedal hard and everything except the wheels get the message you need to speed up - when the wheels eventually get the message everything else is at nutter mode :D.

Sport the car seems to drive properly in 99% of situations.

Sport+ - Hold on to everything :)

Yeah in F20 any mode with DTC on is spongy on the throttle response to some extent. EcoPRO is the worst but it's there even in Sports+. The problem with the Sports modes is that to give you what feels like a more responsive throttle you lose 50% of the throttle motion. Comfort delivers a lovely progressive & perceptually liner throttle but doesn't get the extra weight of sports, nor stiffer damping for those with adaptive suspension. No that comes in with DTC off (not DTC traction mode, this is DTC off) & you also lose all throttle lag, I also find the car gives you much more warning before things start to happen & on really lumpy 'n bumpy roads needs correction to keep it in a straight line. Proper driving that :driving:
