ZHP Questions.

After doing a search on the ZHP gearknob I had a look on their website and found all kinds of goodies. Firstly, I think I'll be going for the slightly weighted knob. :-o I have a few questions with regard to other items i saw if anyone can help. Firstly, are the any issues with fitting the clear brake light and clear indicatiors on a Uk spec car? Would there be any wiring issuses to worry about? Next, I liked the look of the mk4 centre arm rest, again would there be any issues with installing one of these together with the slightly shorter gearknob, it wouldn't make changing gear an issue world it? Any advice appreciated as i'm new to BMW. Thanks Ian.

how much are the lights from leatherz? from the dealer my brake light was £50 and the clear rears and sides was £300...

Got a link to the site?

I really want a ZHP gearknob but i have grey leather surrounds and stuff :(

Umm...how come you can't order the ZHP knobs from the BMW dealers in UK? Here in the U.S., we can easily buy the ZHP knobs from the dealers. Cheaper than LeatherZ too.

is it possible to just get the 3rd brake light clear lens, mine is cracked and im looking to get it changed - if i need to buy the whole unit ill just go to the stealers if its £50 - as buying from usa you end up paying another £12 or so in duty.

DOH! thats my own advice I ignored and bought from LeatherZ. With the part number you should be able to get that from any BMW dealer.

The ZHP knob is exactly the same one fitted on E60 Sport Model.

Some members have said the two in combination can cause problems, most owners including me wouldnt touch the armrest as the current height of the OEM one seems just right. I have shortened my knob by the way.

From this page Gear knobs...

What is the difference between the two part numbers:
25117896884
25117896886

Just price :?

Just been quoted £46.82 for the 25117896886 version, shoulda asked about the 884 one

I will answer my own question after some web searching - the 884 version is weighted but not the short version

Thanks, that could have been annoying for anyone ordering and getting the wrong one.
