Just been on the phone to Ocean BMW in Plymouth. They have been out of stock of the ZHP since January, and don't have an expected delivery date either.
Apparently BMW are not happy with current quality, so won't release them until they are.
Ocean already have 25 on back order, 26 including me, so christ knows when they will be back in stock.

I took a risk on one off ebay that was described as being genuine, using the correct part numbers, but alas, it was fake, weight all wrong at only 100 grams, not 153g. Otherwise it wasn't a bad knob, but I want genuine. So that is going back to Lithuania. :headbang:

Soooo, anyone want to sell me theirs before my 3000 mile road trip in a couple of weeks. :lol:

I ordered one about 8 weeks ago from my local BMW dealer

It came from Germany direct from BMW within 2 days

It’s the genuine part

Give Soper’s BMW in Lincoln a call. Someone on here got one from there last week.

That was me, and I was only able to order and take my place in the queue for one. Not received yet and no indication Sopers have received any stock to date. Copy and paste from the other thread...

"Consistent story from both dealers I spoke to. Hasn’t been any stock (BMW as a whole) for months due to an issue with supplier. New stock is expected in Germany on 11th June. Neither could guarantee that this fresh stock would be sufficient to fulfil any existing backorder. I would have to order and hope that mine would come out of this first batch or the supplier had got their act together and mine would follow quickly after in the following batch(es)."

So you can place your order, as OP also has, but no guarantee when it will turn up.
 
Reading this has made me wonder why BMW has never taken to task the manufacturer of the clear rear brake lights in the same way. Their quality is appalling! I wouldn't mind waiting a few months for BMW to final start selling a decent one. :rofl:
 
I've got one with a 5 speed badge on sitting in my shed. I'm not sure whether anything inside it is broken, but I remember buying another because it moved slightly when it was fitted and it annoyed me.

Someone can have it for free if it's any use to them? Genuine zhp. I took the 6 speed badge off of it because the one I bought had a 5 speed badge on, so I simply swapped them over.

Can't guarantee it's any good, but it'll only go in the bin otherwise. I would try it on my Z4, but don't want to risk ruining my current zhp knob when removing it.
 
Hi Ben, I will take it off your hands and use it for my road trip if I can make it fit ok, then pass it on to someone else once I get my proper one if that is ok, pm on its way.

I've just fitted to m5 f10 illuminated zhp and love it :thumbsup:
It was £125 delivered from bmw Cotswold.

That was a 5 speed, I need a 6, it also has some kind of wobble issue that may make it un useable. I only agreed to take that in the hope I could bodge it enough for my road trip, I still want a mint one.

Only as a stop gap until a 6 speed zhp could be sourced :thumbsup:
 
Just managed to order an in stock 5 speed one from Stratstone BMW in Hull. £66.50 including postage

Basically I phoned my local BMW dealer who didn't have any stock but was able to tell me who did in the UK. Stratstone were the only stockist in the England, the other two were in Ireland.

Might be worth trying this for the 6 speed version or if you want one of the ones in Ireland!
