ZHP or Stormwerks

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my ZHP! Should be here tomorrow but I'm working all week - will probably have to wait and pick it up from the depot on Friday :(

Arrrgghh decisions!!!! How much was the performance on Jamie and do you have a link where the best place is to get it? My only concern would be the Alcantara wearing?

Not an issue with the solid aluminum Stormwerks :poke:
(unless that was a euphemism for something else linked to the earlier 'knob' joke?!)

Can you just fit the knob without gator? I know most BMW Performance items are for 1 and 3 only. :(

Got a nagging feeling the performance one could be in all-in-one thingy (gaitor and knob) judging from this...

Real men accept no substitutes.. Coupe for me :poke:
Real men are the sort of confident studs who go out mid winter with the top down whilst coupe owners cower in their darkened cages praying not to be noticed ;p

ZHP is great inexpensive mod £36 delivered from e bay , next ditch the runflats and the zed is then how it should have been

Think I'm just gonna go with the zhp. If I don't like it I can always sell it i suppose..

Just had 4 new runflats put on the car before I bought it so once ive had my moneys worth out of them I'll ditch them and the 108's I reckon and get some csl reps with some non runflats.. Just can't warrant spending circa 1k on wheels and tyres when I've got brand new tyres on.

Slightly off topic but if you sell your old run flat tyres you will get good money. I sold a pair of fronts recently with 6mm on them for £200 the pair, if you sold all 4 you should be nearly half way there for your CSL reps (then I would save up and fit winter tyres to your existing wheels for the grim months).

i would personally go with the zhp (but then i am bias!)

The all metal stormworks is likely to get hot in summer and cold in winter

Hmmm, sounds like a good idea, although it still means finding £500 or so to do the change, think I might just wait until next year when im getting a little bored of the car and then a new set of wheels will get me all excited again :D

I have the stormwerks V2. It has a weight and feel to it like no other.

They are very expensive for a gear knob but it just comes down to how much value you place on the gear stick as an internal piece of styling and of course for driving.

Compliments the brushed aluminium interior (if you have that) very well

Cheers

If I was a bit richer id try the stormwerks cos its about three times heavier than Zhp. Plus as mentioned above would go nicely with aluminium trim. I wouldn't say I'm negative about Zhp, just underwhelmed. Maybe I was expecting too much?

ZHP ordered last night, so hopefully will receive it by the weekend, so I can give myself a black eye and broken nose fitting it on my ritual sunday car washing day

Also ordered a new set of plates as I have the cherished number documents back now.. Ordered them from Demon Plates and they have domed letters and numbers. Basically the letters and numbers are proud of the plate and in a gloss black finish. Thought they might look pretty cool .. Well I hope so for what they cost anyway.. :o
