ZHP Gear knob

Morning all

I've recently acquired. ZHP Gear knob for my 2003 3.0. I've tried everything to get the original knob off. Pulled, tugged, twisted but it will not budge. Is there a technic to it? do I need WD40 or something.? HELP !!

Nothing to break but you know that now. Apart maybe your teeth if you lean over it while removing. :D

Just done mine and it is a brilliant mod. Much better feeling to the gear change.

Just got back from a 25 mile spin just to make sure it improves the change and it defo does :D :D :D
 
Just a quick tip for people doing this mod:- I struggled to get the old knob off my pulling it vertically and was wary of it flying off and hitting me in the face. The method I used was to put the gear in 6th position and the pull it back towards you while. Seated. This worked a treat.
 
It's the sets z4 3.0. I believe it's only a gator chandelier on the coupes but I'm no expert
