So if you have a ZHP you want to sell pm me

Thanks Paza

How do you wire this up?

Is there a plug underneath the gaiter?

If you have an ///M then yes, otherwise have to connect to cig lighter wiring or similar.

Anyone know if that lighted one is weighted? I like the weight of the ZHP but do fancy a lighted one.

Still a weighted one, just modified for illumination.

What's the illuminated one like, after market jobs that I have seen on other cars have been a bit tacky? Is it tasteful?

OEM ZHP + Illumination so OEM quality

Thanks, damm that's tempting. I wonder how easy they are to mod.

I looked into it, if you haven't got a 6 speed insert forget it you might as well order a modified one. If you have a OEM ///M knob you could have a go, but risk damaging the insert. I buggered up the insert on a normal 6 speed ZHP (although I think it had already started separation hence the problem).

For the £70 odd quid for a ready modified one it's just not worth messing around, plus I ave the OEM knob still if I sell the car on.

The price really starts to add up though if you want a ///M 6 speed insert. Leatherz.com wants about $115 more for an illuminated knob with an ///M insert. If you are happy to butcher your stock knob to use that insert then they knock off a bit for the illuminated one but not sure how easy the inserts are to remove and might be an issue if you want to return to stock to sell on.

I found full pricing here. http://leatherz.com/Merchant5/merch...IllumZHPShiftKnob&Category_Code=Z4_Shift_Knob and it really starts to add up...

I must have one but can't justify it, but the cant settle for non-illuminated as would feel like a step backwards. Damn this modding bug!!!

I hoped it might be a case of lifting the insert, drilling a hole down and dropping in a 50p orange led. But from what you say it doesn't seem that easy. I'd probably be better off buying a lighted one (if he has a 6 speed) and then selling on my standard ZHP.

The one on ebay is only £70odd quid all in, genuine ZHP modded with 6 speed insert, make the LeatherZ one stupid money.
