ZHP Gear Change

Hello! I am interested to change my gear knob to a ZHP but I would like to know if it will actually improve the gear change by being shorter and heavier (especially from 1st to 2nd) before buying it.
Any thoughts from those who changed to a ZHP knob?
 
1st to 2nd is worse (less leverage so there is more resistance). Big improvement in general though - feels great through the higher gears.
 
Feels great. Huge improvement. Ditch the Clutch Delay Valve at the same time for a truly delightful gear change :thumbsup:

I do not have the ZHP but i have the shorter M sport gear knob. To me it makes it a 100% better and makes it more natural to change gear :thumbsup:

CDV has been removed already :thumbsup:

I like the look of my gear knob and I will only change it if it will make any improvement in shifting. I read somewhere that it improves shifting but only people who have actually tried it can confirm.

Is there any difference between the m sport and the zhp knobs? I believe both are shorter and heavier so the result should be similar.
 
Put it this way, it's the first mod I've done to all of my manual beemers!! In fact, it may be true that I even took one in my bag when traveling down south to collect a car and fitted it when I drove round the corner :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops:
