ZHP fitmint issue

Purchased a new ZHP gear knob over Christmas and fitted it today. I was surprised how easily the original came off and I pushed the new one on but it seems a bit loose. It doesn't turn but slides up too easily when changing gear.
Anyone any ideas how to tighten it or fix it in position without the use of glue!

make sure you have pushed it down with some force! it kinda clicks in its place when it's correctly fitted.

Yes, there is a little grove that it needs to get passed. You have to push it a lot harder down then you think.

My ZHP is actually a lot harder to remove the stock one.

My stock one came out easily.. the ZHP requires a very hard tug to release it.

Thanks guys you were all spot on. Thought I was pressing hard enough but clearly wasn't.
The knob, as said, does actually click into place.

No worries, I did exactly the same thing wrong when fitting my Storm knob.
