ZHP 6 Speed Gear Knob Wanted/ Dealer Price?

Hi all,

I hope all is well?

As per the title, I am after a ZHP 6 speed gear knob & can anyone confirm if the dealer price is now £57.00? :headbang:

Unfortunately, that is the price quoted by the dealer....shocking how much the £34.00 gear knob has increased over the years.

It looks like the useful posts on here have confirmed my suspicion of a price increase. :headbang:
 
The knobs will be over £100 not before long, it annoys me BMW keep increasing the prices on things by big amounts :( Good Luck with the new knob OP :thumbsup:
 
It's been that much for years, get over it.

It's actually a pretty good price in my opinion as the other standard knobs are at least as much.
 
I ordered one in March from Soper BMW Lincoln for £56.70 posted. Local dealer quoted £63. The Lincoln chap was very helpful and asked if I was a member on here and gave a discount.
 
Its still outrageous given what it actually is. A bit of metal with a leather covering. you can buy steering wheels with leather rims for less so how can they justify that price?
 
I would guess that it's a case of supply and demand. If the parts aren't made any more, supply goes down price goes up. I assume even if some parts are still made it will be in smaller batches also raising the price.

To confirm, I now have bought the ZHP gear knob! Curiously, should there be a little bit of movement in the knob if you try and turn it? I did notice the prong which slots into the shaft was two smaller prongs and not one long prong like the original?
