ZFest 2011 - Greenville, SC

The BMW-ZSCCA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that ZFest 2011 will be held September 1-3, in Greenville, SC.
As many of you know, our original plans were to hold the event in Dallas, TX but those plans were not materializing so we are bringing the event "home" to where this incredible gathering of BMW Z Roadsters and Coupes began.

Our host hotel for the event will be the Embassy Suites, Greenville and they are taking reservations NOW. We encourage everyone to make their reservations now as we anticipate a mad rush for rooms. They have a special rate for our event that is not shown on their website. You can book your room by calling 1-800-Embassy and use code BMW Z CLUB or contact the hotel directly. There website is:

Registration for ZFest 2011 will open soon and we will announce when that happens along with the link. We are still setting up the website so that registering will be a quick and easy procedure. So stay tuned!

For those of you who are planning convoys, please be sure to post the information in the Events and Calendar section of the ZSCCA website at http://www.zscca.org. Also, when you are ready to announce your convoy, feel free to send me that details and I will send out an email bast to the membership.

We look forward to seeing everyone in Greenville in just 4 months.

Can you ask them to move the date to mid October as I will be across the pond then in florida and would make the trip up

The original event was to be in Dallas; however, this plan was OBE. ZSCCA Director at Large David Weeks put a lot of time and effort (along with some help from the rest of the Board) to pull this off. It may not be Homecoming, but it will be the closest thing possible without BMW sponsorship. So if you are planning a visit to the Colonies in early fall, make this part of your plans. You can fly into KGSP/GSP from most major US hub airports or you can drive from CLT in less than 2 hours, ATL in about 3 hours, MCO in 9 hours and NYC (EWR) in about 12 and see what the real USA is all about (believe me, it's not NYC & LA). X2 on the Greenville area being more like the real USA. I just received an e-mail this morning from another member of our local ZSCCA club and the rooms at the host hotel are down to just a few rooms left and will likely be gone by the end of this week if not today.

PawnSacrifice, I regret that I will not be attending as the original plans were for Texas and I had decide to not make that trip and signed up for another Zed event in the Finger Lakes area of New York that weekend. A few members of our local club have decided to attend ZFest and I am sure they will have a lot of picture and when they become available I will post a link.
 
I was at it last year and Dallas was just a bit too far, SC is even further so I made other plans. I will be taking my Z3 to Phx in late Sept. and leaving it for the winter. I was looking at some of the runs down there in the future, Texas or AZ (only a two day drive from Phx instead of 5 from here) I suppose all is fair since it was in LA last year....Only two days drive from my house.
