Thanks Zermatt; think I've become a little bit Targa obsessed

You'll need to give us a review of living with the targa mechanism, always been intrigued by this variant, not sure why it only comes in 4wd, but 4s has lovely ... Err car hips :)

The reason why it was wide-body is that the roof suited it better and the big market for them is Alpine Areas . when i get it ill be writing a review and comparison with the M.

Inkey - cheers for the video - i used to loved 993 ones myself - but a bit elderly to be using every day. dint worry about Targa obsessed - i have the same about M coupes every now and again.

what i love about this Forum - doesn't matter what brand the car is we can all have a good blether about it

Would love to see that interior in the flesh, bet it looks much better than in the pictures.

Soon have to rename our forum

Gone slightly different again with the interior - I like it.

The classic Targa is one of my favourite 911s.

How did we not guess this :o

Congratulations on finding the 'right' choice.

:driving:

SRHutch- well i hope to bring it along to a few forum runs so we can deliberate over the leather - i think thats what sealed it was it would be a talking point.

Paul- i think it must be the low numbers that threw everybody i was surprised that there are so few when i checked how many - but we are talking 50-100 a year max in the UK. i think the 991 might be popular in the targa because it looks so good - why would you have the 991 Convertible vert when you could buy the 991 Targa. And why no Targa Turbo when you can have a Turbo Convertible.

i was only thinking we will need to call ourselves PetrolZeds as the non Zed ownership grows - i have really enjoyed having 7 pages of chat on my non BMW - seems a little harder work on the Porsche forums but its early days.

Thanks Everyone :)

Oh my god - you'll be wearing clogs, moving to Guiseley, putting 'Jet' after your username and wishing it was yellow soon... :D

Lovely motor Rob, congrats
