Or in other words, if you take the snaps from ZermattV's car - he will let you drive his :D

sometime when i'm down in the lakes ( we have friends who live in cumbria) and your back from your travels - i might be so bold to ask if you could take some snaps of it !

I hope now the Zed has gone and considering the fun your old man has has in the Z4M he is repaying the favour with the loan of his carrera once in a while !

Ye sure that would be great! No problem at all would be good to see it little mini Cumbria Porsche meet.

Ye well thats it! I keep reminding him but he's not so keen haha! Only comes out once in a blue moon.

Sounds like a plan, it is about 5 hours drive from my side and probably not that much different for ZermattV

cheers Gannet - good to hear from you , starting to really fall for the car over the last couple of weeks.

Good to have you back on here

Ok - a wee update the car is clocking up to 11.3k so about 1.5k in my care , so as it's going to be out and about over the winter it's been fitted with winter wheels and tyres - when it came to change them slightly amazed by their width....

I also fitted a couple of wee Martini decals - always been a fan of the Martini- Porsche , Martini-Lancia teams.

I've also had the car out to a few Porsche Club meets and local breakfast club meets - one key advantage so far has been the very active local porsche club who have one evening meet and at least one drive a month - great bunch with some smashing and varied cars - everything from 924s to 991s and the 993s.

The Targa got itself into Porschepost this month albeit in the new members section. So I'm really enjoying the swap . I miss the sound of the S54 and the looks of the M but the everyday usability of the 997 combined with the Targa roof for top down lite winter runs have been big pluses.

I've just asked my wife , "do you like that" and showed her the targa!
Reply , No, it looks like a TT.

I'm going to give up !

This could work to your advantage .... Honestly it's a TTRS as you point towards the new 991 GTS you've just purchased

I see what you mean!

Trouble is the car would be a replacement for her current car - A4 3.0 tdi Quattro and the replacement has to float my boat as well!

I see a potential argument on the horizon :D

Quick update as requested by Beedub - although it did not go to plan - spent Tuesday giving the car a spring clean , two passes with Hyper wash snow foam, two bucket method hand wash, a tidy up with Dodo Juice Lime Prime and TARDIS followed by two coats of Zymol Carbon Wax. I also used the GTechniq Perfect Glass pack to do the windscreen and roof.

It looked immaculate - however, today i went out with two buddies from the local P-Car Club for a run up to The Glenfiddich Distillery Cafe at Dufftown... http://www.glenfiddich.com/uk/distillery/ .... As you can see we collected half of Aberdeenshire on the way .

really bonding with the 997 now - love the all weather performance - will soon be time to put the summers on - and have to rewash it for the local car meet on Sunday.

Couple of weeks ago I took the Car along to the GT Scotland Sports car meet which was held locally - some choice metalwork turned up..

All in all had a good winter with the car - looking forward to what summer has in store :driving:
