Well i was a lucky boy this morning i got up early to stretch the Ms legs and decided to go to the V8 breakfast up here in the North of Scotland , a busy turn out was expected as the local Lotus group were coming with 30 cars , so i arrived early to bag a good space on the Car Park.

the Car park grew and i got chatting to the guy next to me who's Westfield weighs in at 300 bhp/tonne

and a few regulars arrived .

as well as some of the 20 plus Lotus from the local area - i was surprised how much i loved the sounds of the V8 Esprits..

Anyway after a decent breakfast and a real good chat with local petrol heads I got an invite to join several see a local collection of AC LeMans Cars owned by a local expert - one of which is the almost mythical 1964 AC Cobra Coupe - a great drive up to the car following the V8 Esprits pictured above and then a real treat a good couple of hours looking at these cars with fellow local petrol heads. The 1964 car is mythical as there is an urban myth that it was this cars test at 183 mph on the M1 prior to Le Mans which put in place the National Speed limit we know and love.

A really great afternoon thanks to the generous offer of a local petrolhead family who love to share their fantastic collection of ACs with fellow petrol heads.
