Lauren has been struggling for the last few weeks. Not tolerating her feeds again, sickness and increased pain and nausea. A short stint in hospital on a drip saw her through to her appointment with the surgeon on Monday.
To be honest, it was good for the surgeon to see her during a bad spell. He has now experienced Lauren's symptoms first hand and as a result was far more attentive and committed to try to understand what is causing her system to fail. It comes as no surprise that he wants to run and review further tests before committing to any discussions about surgery. Hopefully we can get these moving fairly quickly.
Still awaiting the pain management appointment at GOSH and back to the local consultant on Friday. Baby steps!

Come on all, lets get this fund into 4 figures and moving on so that we can give Lauren the money she may need if they decide to operate sooner than originally planned.
I'm chucking another fiver in the pot myself after reading this and if we all do, the total will fly :thumbsup:

Basically, its not an operation that the NHS will fund, but her Mum is trying. If she acheives it, she will donate all other monies raised to Great Ormand Street

Thanks - I never saw that bit when I read the original just giving page a while back. I understand now, and where "permission" is required it all gets challenging. I even know that with my singing / dancing private insurance that I ended paying all the investigative costs for a recent family member scanning session myself as they used a get-out clause to avoid paying it. It seems to be both with NHS and private that you only get what you need if everyone lies.
 
So where is he going after you,Mr Wilks? Just trying to see when he will be hitting the Scottish borders/Dumfries,or whoever is taking him into Scotland??
Hopefully we can ovoid the weekend of the National,in two weeks,as a few of the Scottish forumites will be out of their respective areas,enjoying some :driving:

Perhaps the aim should be to get Zedward to the National - great opportunity for decent photos and some fund raising

Craig I'm collecting him this morning from Andy and then hopefully moving him northwards towards South Lakes midweek :thumbsup:

i was thinking this myself, also he needs to make an appearance at the water mill meet
 
I am not sure the police would approve if Mrs Marlon sits on your lap though .... :o

Was thinking his too.....can someone sort out a lift for him to the National,and he can then have some passenger free in a few Zed's,i including mine,while having a blast :D

Since you're doing some of he co-ordinating for this taz/Pete,can you put this in motion,and make sure he gets to the National for the FRday night or Saturday morning,cheers.
