It's alright for you Zedward swanning around having a lovely time....
Please save us from 3 months hard labour in Santa's Grotto

Looks like a scene from Caligula .. Too much Bare Bear to Bear there. :exitright:

What sort of films are you all watching down there in Cornwall, then Buzy ?

I borrowed some from Taz.

Just a teaser, for now....

Before leaving john-e89, Zedward fell asleep on the couch and dreamt of his Great Grandpaw, Edward "Biggles" Bear, and his exploits ...

I think this is going somewhere....
..And I hope Zedward doesn't have ideas above his station ?

So, Zedward mentioned his dream, and luckily managed to get a stay with the local RAF station, Coningsby. After a meeting with the Station Commander Group Captain Jez Attridge

Zedward was taken on a tour of Coningsby. First, he met the BAE apprentices, but was unfortunately too old to join them...

So, he had a quick brunch at the NAAFI wagon

Followed by a tour of the vintage aircraft; starting with the 29 Sqn English Electric Lightning (and yes, there is a story behind XXX meaning 29)

Moving onto the Dakota (from the BBMF - Battle of Britain Memorial Flight)

And ending with the awesome Spitfire.

After watching the Typhoons take off (he was given a prime position, on the runway) Zedward asked for a go.

Unfortunately, the RAF had heard of Zedward's heavy right foot, and lack of heel/toe ability, so they put him through some training on the Typhoon simulator. Zedward now has become very fussy when it comes to computer games!

Excellent work Mark. It looks like he's really beeng spoilt.

(We'll get the FB and Justgiving pages updated later.)

Today, Zedward was given a treat and taken around Woodhall Spa and the local area. We started with a quick visit to the "Bouncing Bomb" and the "Dumbuster's Mess" at the Petwood hotel:

I then told him we were off to Cadwell Park - he seemed to be quite excited, and couldn't wait to get there!

However, when he realised he wasn't racing but working the ticket booth he wasn't too impressed - especially when he couldn't find the rate for bears!

Afterwards, we went on a little trip through the Lincolnshire Wolds - and he agrees they aren't exactly flat!

After a quick visit to the barbers to lose the moustache (last time he's left with the RAF :D) we ended up in Lincoln for a well-earned cuppa by the Cathedral

So, after a long daytrip, Zedward decided to chill for the late afternoon by taking a trip to the local Kinema. Apparently, he wanted to see the Mighty Compton Organ. No idea why :?

Fabulous entertainment again Markeg. It's going to be hard to beat his adventures there

Markeg has done a fantastic job with Zedward. I think he's taken him absolutely everywhere he can, but Zedward is now a little bored of Lincolnshire now and would like to move on, so can anyone help bring him further South at all ?

Please post or PM Markeg if so.

Brilliant, well done Mark, you said he was in for a special Lincolnshire swan song and that's what he got!

Frankly I was sceptical when you said you have hills there, but as the big guy has confirmed it I'll concede....

Top effort.

Excellent work Mark, glad to see your work with the RAF paid off. Well let's see what the southern folk have planned for him :D

Zedless zedward! :o
After meeting up with Mark for a chance of bear sitting, things started out ok after I introduced myself as chief of bears :P

That's when it started to go wrong, once zedward realised I had sold my zed he attempted to climb back into marks car!

IMAG3775.jpg

It took a huge effort & a promise of a new zed in a few days time to get him into our mini backup vehicle :poke:

Glad to see Zedward has finally made it to one of the more Southern Counties again, and many thanks to Smartbear for stepping in when Lynchy was whisked away to France.

Great efforts from markeg recently, so lets hope the funds start to roll in again and we can get near the target.

Please look out to take Zedward from Smartbear, I'm sure Zedward will be a good excuse for plenty of E89 pictures soon, but someone needs to prize him away as the Cornwall boys want him by Xmas !

Far far away in the deep SW, but not forgotten. :D

Love the ticket booth Photo shoot Markeg.

Before he left Lincolnshire, we had one more job for Zedward - a stint behind the bar at one of the local village pubs:

After a few pints pulled, Zedward needed a bit of a rest: When he said he was having a Malibu and Coke, we did think he meant a small one. Doesn't stint though, our Zedward...

DSC01556_zpsq8nwuofg.jpg

Of course, after a few drinks, we were treated to a medley of songs: "The Bear Necessities", "If You Go Down to the Woods Today", and rounding off with the "King of the Swingers". Think he was starting to channel his inner Baloo... or just a better version of "Honey B"

Zedward has bidden a fond farewell to Woodhall Spa, as he was off to become an Essex Bear! I did let him watch an episode of TOWIE as preparation, but he said he was drawing the line a man-scaping (or bear-scaping), Rob. He even re-donned his moustache for his farewell pic :D

Enjoy the stay with Smartbear, Zedward!

Oh, and that's not the first, and probably not the last, time my arse has been on the internet, Rob

Well I feel sorry for the southern crew as Mark has done Lincolnshire proud and really thrown the gauntlet down on Zedwards adventures and raising funds for this great cause. So come on Essexs show Zedward what you got
