Hi,Zedward here.
I finally got round to donating money raised atThe National meet, and in Scotland and, after having a very busy couple of weeks.

A Total of £205 was raised at the National meet(Inc.Crags donation) .Thanks to all who donated
Also Zedward was given £5 for the fund, from Margaret and Noel Carter, from East Anglia, while at Breakfast one morning,at The CROOKLANDS HOTEL.

And on my travels with Craig to Scotland, I had various people donating to the page, inc. Craig's best mate,Gavin Stewart, who gave £30 to help Lauren.
Some of the kind staff at The Lounge,in Largs donated £10 each, when I looked in for a wee drink :D
Thanks for that,Robert Grant and Connor Ashmead

Nictrix - Brilliant photos and day out at school - I enjoyed reading that !
It would be good to get some of these up on his facebook page

Craig and All at the National, Well done for a great contribution. That's boosted the kitty somewhat

Just noticed that the link on Zedward's T-shirt: https://www.justgiving.com/Zedward goes to a "page 404 error" whereas https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/Zedward is correct. Might be worth pointing out in case we are missing some donations...

If north isnt an option I can take Zedward from the middle of next week once I'm back from Nice? I have a fair few things planned for his Fife visit! 8)

Anyone else a tad worried about Flyingfifer and his trip to Nice? Hope you are ok and weren't caught up in all that nastiness! :(

I have been in touch with Laurens Mum, by email and have an update on her situation:

Just over a week ago we took Lauren to an appointment at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). We ended up having to take her privately as the wait for NHS was too long.

Basically we are sitting in a merry-go-round position where we are juggling 4 sets of professionals across multiple hospitals. Lauren's latest development/progression of symptoms has left questions as to which order the treatment plan takes. The pacemaker surgeon wants her symptoms brought back under control as they were before February so that the surgery has the best chance of success. And whilst I absolutely agree with this rationale, I am concerned that delays may lead to further progression of her symptoms.. But then they are the experts.

The procedure to attempt to relax Lauren's abdominal muscles and relieve the possible sub cutaneous nerve entrapment could require up to 6 rounds of treatment, each requiring a general anaesthetic and is not a long term solution - but may provide a short period where she is more able to take her full feed without so much discomfort and bloating. A pre February position. But there are no guarantees. If we do decide to go ahead with these injections we will need to press ahead privately as the wait for NHS is over 6 months. I have a meeting with Lauren's local GI consultant this Thursday to ensure he still feels that these injections are essential and worth putting Lauren through before I give the go ahead.

Lauren is managing all of this remarkably well. She takes the promises and any subsequent disappointment in her stride and makes the most of each day. She still goes out with her friends, wears too much make up and is constantly on Instagram and snapchat like all teenagers! She hardly ever complains of feeling unwell - even though currently she feels constantly nauseous and in pain, her abdomen is hard and distended and she can only sleep sitting upright as otherwise she is sick. Top of her current food wish list is not food, but a drink. Any drink in fact. Sometimes I forget how dry her mouth and throat must be.

Wishing you all a lovely summer. We are still waiting for the sun here in Surrey. Looks like Zedward has found some at times!! Thank you all for your continued wonderful support and kind words.

I think you will all agree, we are all supporting a very worthwhile cause with Zedward's travels, lso ets keep him moving so that we can eventually help Lauren.

I have told Laurens Mum, that we can transfer funds across, as soon as the Opp is planned or private funds run out, but for the moment they are happy for us to keep him travelling and ultimately heading for Surrey.

Many Thanks everyone, Keep up the good work.

Bloody hell - what must the poor girl be going through? And to think about some of the things we all moan about.
I must admit that at the start I voted that the funds from Zedwards travels went to a national charity - I thought at the time that that was 'fairest'
I can now say that I'm really pleased that the funds are going to a worthy cause where it will make a difference, rather than getting swallowed up/lost in a charities admin

I think we all take things for granted... Especially having a drink of water. I just cant imagine not being able to.
