Zeds at the Pub - picture thread

Hmm, no alcohol for me when driving and it comes from motorcycling days - absolutely bonkers.

My last Z at The Good Intent in East Farleigh. Way too early for it to be open, but I'd only ever have one anyway :wink:
New silver one next to Perry's red Alpina at the Coach & Horses' overflow car park with some friends somewhere near Chipping Norton last Saturday. Could be any pub in Goucestershire though, as every second pub was called the Coach & Horses...

Eh? Take a look at the photos again and then tell me the photos are not relating alcohol with driving performance cars . . . 
Sorry but for me it's just not on for many reasons - makes me sound and look like an old fuddy. I like a good drink along with the next person just not when I'm driving or riding a motorcycle. (I don't have to explain why, surely

Technically and artistically great photos and I love the idea of Zeds at a pub as a theme and as you say, I do visit them and in the Zed but you mentioned having 1 pint - I wouldn't and certainly find the images . . . . . .inappropriate.
That's my view - didn't want to diminish your enthusiasm for a new thread but at the same time found I couldn't just leave it and not see such images on an open forum without making comment.

No chill pill needed here - just an open forum and a honest response.
Reading your post again and looking at the images again Jim, I get why you feel I'm mis-interpreting your post and understand the pleasure in sitting at a boozer and gazing at your Zed - I get it now and on that level it's a great experience and one that many on here will relate to . . . .
But these images seen another way, and the way I took them when I first saw them, is the association of a pint (right in the foreground of each photo) with a performance sports car and it immediately brought into question what we all on the Forum always promote - spirited but safe (and responsible) driving.
And I would never, ever, ever ride a motorcycle and drink - that's been brought over to my driving of the Zed as well. I'm surprised I feel I need to defend that :?

The photos only had the pints in as I sent them to the wife and kids via Whatsapp as a continuation of the ribbing I mentioned in my Private Plate thread.

One of our pubs and just had a bit of cash spent on it too.
On the drink-driving bit all I'll say is that if the English and Welsh authorities decide to lower their drink-drive limits to the same level as Scotland you may not be able to drink at your local pub in future - if the Scottish experience is replicated.
