Why is that a problem? It'll probably take me the best part of 3 hours too, but that's why I'm staying at the Link tomorrow night!

That makes a proper weekend of it. :D
 
Would love to have come up and stayed, if I was free this weekend but I’m not sadly.
Maybe next year. Definitely going to simply bmw at beaulieu next month.
 
Just a heads up, the restaurant at the Link hotel will be open From 6 till 7, then shut until 8 because of a large group.
It's then open from 8 until last food orders at 8.45.
We're sitting down for 6.
 
I've been renewing the spark plugs,replacing the valve cover gasket and cleaning all the old muck off around the engine bay this morning in preparation, and the old girl started throwing tantrums during the test drive. All of a sudden the dreaded low coolant light appeared.

The thing is the cooling system is new, and coolant level is fine. And weirdly enough it disappeared after a restart. It actually came back momentarily later on as well. I suspect maybe some brake cleaner or something seeped into the sensor connection.

Another problem also popped up with the roof hydraulics. It sounds like it's somehow dripping out of either the pump reservoir or the arms at the end of the cycle. Now it needs a bit of help to start dropping the top...

Argh... It'll be an interesting 2 hour trip tomorrow morning... :driving:😵‍💫
