A big 'Thank You' to Mac and his family - awesome place to live and we had a great time again this year

Unfortunately I didn't get to take any photos during the event as every time I thought about grabbing the camera, I ended up getting sidetracked and chatting to someone

A big  to Beedub, Mr Wilks, Machine Monkey, Steveo, Marlon, AlienZ and all the others that I met for the first time...

...and, to all those that I've met before, but still stopped to chat, I obviously didn't bore you completely senseless the first time

same to you too, lovely to see the car, i love the bmw red it just pops....

Your Alpina is stunning, i was with Alienz as he quizzed you regarding the clutch on the Alpinas. I think he craves one but is too old to press the clutch now a days
Thanks

As I said on Sunday, I don't think the clutch on my car is particularly heavy compared to other cars I've owned but clutches can vary even between two, otherwise identical, cars so the only way he'll know is by finding one he's interested in and taking it for a test drive

Thanks Byron - looking at your car has got me thinking about polishing the under-bonnet alloy parts (... given the amount of work involved, I almost wish you hadn't turned up now  )

What colour is this car?
Looks very nice. Is it valencia orange or a bespoke darkish version of that?

And with X5 alloys by the looks of it? (in gunmetal gray)

Hi Ebeneezer (Tony)
Peterboroughdave is my forum name but have only recently introduced myself to the forum and Zedfest was my first Z4 outing.
The Z4 is my wife Sarah's car and she has owned it since 2007.
The car is a 2.2 and in standard condition apart from non run-flat tyres.
It was good to talk to you and to see the work that you have done to your car, I particularly liked your bright silver 108's and the rear light modifications.

Whilst I was like a child in a candy store, Sarah was not very well for the week up to and including the Z-fest meeting and struggled with the hard suspension and poor condition of the roads from Peterborough to Melton Mowbury. She did not move far from the car but did enjoy seeing all the different Z4's and talking to your partner (Shirley?) We hope to come up to Newark area for one of your monthly meets in the near future, Sarah is feeling a lot better after changing her meds and I am working on getting her out of the house/my Jag and back in the Z4 for some outings whilst we still have some decent weather

Best regards
David Henson

Hi Ronk,

Thanks for your comment, Sarah has some serious health issues but she continues to battle on. She is very special and I regularly tell her that she is the best wife that I have ever had.

Health issues make you realise how unimportant car issues are!
