But from 1999 and with gull wings the front lights have a familiar shape to the Z rears !

It does look very 6-series - certainly the front lights look like shrunken versions of the lights on the pervious gen 6. And I have always thought they look very similar to facelift Z rears too.
That car is pretty fugly though - there are too many things happening on that front end that don't work together.
