Has anyone upgraded the speakers on their Zed from the standards ones? I am somewhat disappointed in the system and wondered of upgrading the speakers was a good idea and if so what ones would fit directly in place of the standard ones?
I find the depth pretty poor and anytime I give it a bit of volume, the quality caves in. I wondered if buying some Pioneer speakers or similar might do the trick..
I have it in mine...cant say there is a problem with it..crisp clear sound and with the subs behind your seats you can feel the punch if up loud enough..great system in my opinion.
Not sure what my system is but it has the big speakers behind the seats. Now some have said only a little bit of sound comes from them, when they fade to back, but mine churn out some great sound from mine, the side tweeters by the seatbelts work too, so what system have I got?
And some people don't have any speakers behind the seats, so what system is that?
I love mine - Its a step up from the E85 and a bit!
Volume along with the sharpness of high frequency is more than adequate, that and a good deep bass I can't see any reason to fiddle about with speaker changes.
Apart from that, a car is not really a good accoustic environment!
I have the business system and you would have to add me to the column.
I wouldn't say it was mind blowing but it does the job. I would like a bit more bass. I wonder if there is any significant difference based on the audio source used? I tend to just use the usb socket.
I would like to hear the other systems to compare the difference. I imagine the standard system would be poor but am concerned some people with the pro system find it a disappointment.
EDIT: Just noticed I started every sentence with I. And it's bass not base.
The sound you hear and the quality your percieve relates as much to the source material and not least to how it was mixed. Many 80's tunes sound very clear and undistorted on the Business System in my E89. The producers at the time mixed knowing they would not be being reproduced on top quality hi-fi, so instead balanced them to give punchy bass. This come across very well . A number of modern recording sound distorted at the low end.
