They were good times - the cars where all new and first owners, and 95% worked in IT so it was basically one big nerd fest

You never did set me up with that COBOL CICS contract 🤣

This looks great. Will watch the videos over the weekend. Box fresh Z4s out in the wild,
Wish I’d been to more meets since joining here in 2010. Only one I can remember attending was a run down to Battle/Hastings in my Z3MC. No photos but must have been around 2013-ish.
You also came along to Duxford David...

“His” ??? :poke:
Those therapy sessions don't appear to be working... You have to learn to let go of the past and move on...

I don't know - I am aware now that I an not a non binary or anything else from the long list. Perhaps I signed up for the wrong therapy when I selection "conversion" as I moved from a convertible to a coupe? :o

Thanks for reminding me, Perry!
I think I came to 2 x Duxfords, but the second was a massive wash out IIRC.
Good days

No worries all, I reckon watching some of these E85's not long after they rolled off the production line 18-19 years may be of interest.

For those that aren't familiar with z4um, there was a bunch of us that were members of an earlier Z4 sites and I can't recall the name (PVR, can you recall?), then for some reason there was a mass exodus and we joined z4um.

I believe the site had a catastrophic database failure and the owner/admin was no where to be found, and the site literally vanished overnight.
I had sold my Z4 by that stage and wasn't using the forum any more, so it was a number of years before I actually heard about it.

It's great to see early Z4 owners seemed just as enthusiastic as we are now.

I loved the photo with Lake Vyrnwy in the background, because I went there in May 2021 with some other petrolheads!

The Wales runs were followed by 3 highlander trips, with DVDs as well, and a few more Welsh ones after that. Also the first German and Swiss runs, there were about 70 cars then
Cool.
Is that 70 cars on the Runs or on the Forum??
Forum I presume?

On the run. The forum had more than 1000 members (was way more international then with a large USA base as well). We even had USA members coming to the UK for these runs.

There were some USA military members stationed in Germany who also came over.

The biggest run was a meet in Germany organised by a German member, that was well over 100 cars including about 15 from the UK.

Speeding? Never ....
"do you know how fast you were going, Sir?"
"No officer, was it about 3 megabits per second?" (followed by a raucous guffaw from the surrounding IT geeks).
