I am glad to see you guys enjoying riding in France and I can imagine some of you even own properties down here (sure, there must be some :wink: ), which must be an excellent reason to go for a long drive with the Z4!
I'd venture to say that Brits (since we're focusing on the UK/France differences..) in general know better how to enjoy life (week end car and holiday in wine producing regions), when French still have a lot of complex to deal with money and appearance.
Another quick comparison: go on BMW.co.uk used cars and compare the 120+ available Z4 to the total of 69 cars you could get on the BMW France approved used market...
... don't forget to take also in account the rainfall average between the two countries...
and you get the confirmation that Brits know how to enjoy themselves better than French, even under poor weather conditions...! :drinkwine:
Lastly, Peugeot was doing pretty well with their unique - and most powerful although FWD and 1.6l engine - coupe car, the RCZ. But they finally decided to bury all hope when Peugeot boss released following statement:
"I love the RCZ, but I want us to focus on making the best of our core models, from Peugeot 108 upwards, and to exploit what we then have to the best of our abilities. For each of those cars we can choose attributes and be the best. Chasing niches is for premium brands; for us it has been a distraction."
A mere "distraction"... oh. Well I hope they will quickly become collector cars, so we that we could hear the boss crying in his 108!
So please, continue to come and raid across France with your Brit registered Z4, cause I'd love to see more of them (even if the wheel is definitely not where it should be!) :roll:
