Z4MR With upgrades. low miles

Beautiful car and good luck with the sale, but I have to agree about the price being a bit steep. The thing with mods is that if you find the real enthuisiast who wants a Z4M and appreciates the mods then they'll pay the premium. But to people who are more generally looking for a sports car, they'll go for the newer, cheaper car as the benefits of the mods is lost on them and not worth a £6K premium in this case. Also don't forget that many people will look to run a car like a Z4M with a warranty and that will be more difficult or more expensive with the mods. So your average sports car buyer with pockets deep enough to pay a premium for the mods and higher warranty costs will just go get a 911 or something with warranty. I think your target market at that price is very small, especially in times of a recession, however I hope you find the buyer who truly appreciates it and you get your asking price. :)

I wasn't out to cause offence, as I said it's a fantastic looking car.

I only really have experience with VAG cars, but I know over there mods add little or nothing to your selling price. I spent £10k on my current audi TT over a period of 4 years. As much as it has pained me, I've ended up selling the parts as I couldn't even get £1500-£2000 extra over book price when first advertised. A friend recently sold his 300bhp tuned TT for £7000.

Maybe it works differently for BMWs. I also looked at a supercharged VX220 as a toy before beginning searching for an M. Again around £10k spent and it went for £12k (around £2k more than others of the same year).

I'm out of my depth though as don't not what these mods are worth.
I'd have to agree with this. Selling the mods separately is the only way to see anything like the asking price unfortunately.

I have modified alot of cars over the years and agree that mods dont also improve an asking price but feel with these mods in my opinion being the right ones and also only just fitted and with the new OE CSL alloys then this is a fair price for a great looking car.

In my view, if you can afford £20,000 for an MR then £24,000 for such a better car has to be worth considering.

TBH if I could afford it i'd be there tomorrow with the cash - it's absolutely gorgeous

Time and a place, but stunning car.. cant believe you have a spare set of csl alloys just sat there, i wish i had A set.. can i ask what your other cars are please.
I'm also in the forces and go away in Jan for six months, dont know whether to sell or store mine.

I have a BMW 130M and an old Ford Pume that we use as the run around.
Z4MR only comes out on the sunny days??

I also think it's over priced. A standard 06 Z4MR is around 17k ATM, which means you'd be getting 7k for the mods?

pddy but you HAVE to take mileage and condition into account.............. the cars are getting rarer and rarer in what i would call immaculate condition and low miles..... i can count how many times ive seen scabby z4ms now ;-)

hold out for top money or wait till summer.... winter wont be helping your cause here.

Nice car and top mods, but unfortunately you can't add on extra money for the mods and hope to sell it, tried it and it doesn’t work

If I was you, I'd take most of the mods off and sell them separately; you'll get more money back and still have a beautiful car to sell

Good luck

Although it may seem high priced, if someone wants everything he has they may pay the price. He only needs one buyer to want it, the positive view :), so why not advertise at that price. It doesn't seem like a forced sale and I'm sure they guy would be open to some negotiation

I'm kinda tempted by those OEM CSL' for next summer although I really like the standard wheels and the grip they provide.........hmmmmmmmmm...........

Had any interest in the car without splitting it up?

It's a cracking car but I have to agree with a few other that have posted, adding the cost of the mods onto the value of the car is folly, been there and bought the T-shirt.

I also have a brand new spare set of OE CSL Maj alloys with Mitchelin Pilot sport cup tyres which have never been fitted to a vehicle and cost £1350 Tyres and 23750 for the alloys from BMW dealership.

Is this a typo or am I reading it wrong? £23750 for the alloys?! :o

i still think op needs to hold out, here is an immaculate low milege car with some lovely upgrades and i think someone will want this car...... i personally would to have brought an immac car with all the right upgrades, when i sell my supercharged ///M i have no intention of putting it back to stock, i will wait as long as it takes to sell her As a whole, and their is always someone!

keep going OP.

GUYS GUYS WAIT A MINUTE!!! How can u tell that this car is over priced?????? U should feel lucky to have that car for that price if i hadnt mine yet i would buy it in a heartbeat even if i would have to go oversee.
I bought a 06 Z4MR with 19k miles and the only mods it had was Breyton Race GT 19" and Pirelli Pzero Corsa brand new wheels.
And the price was 27 000 £!!!
So how can u say that that car is too expensive with those mods?
Ok u cant ask the full price of each mod but half price definitly YES!!!
Are the prices that much lower in the U.K??

A good example 06 Z4MR with decent extras is around 17-18k. I don't think IMO the mods add up to £6-7k even if they were sold seprately.

I had a look at the PH site and the most expensive 06 was £18,900.

So yes it's over priced.
