Z4MR Wanted

Hi,

First post on here so please go easy. Having had an S2000 in the past i have a hankering for a Z4M to use as a toy for when the Scottish weather improves. I am currently between cars but Z4M is one of those at the top of my list. Not looking for a car from a trader, would much prefer buying from an enthusiast hence post on here.
Spec wise FSH is a must and am looking for mileage up to 45k max.
Colour, not to bothered, if I like it and it suits the car then fine.
Interior colour, again as long as it suits the car not that fussed but nothing to wacky.
Options, not 100%, would like the top range stereo but that’s it really.
Anyway, if anyone is thinking of selling in the near future please let me know.
Cheers

Hi and welcome to the forum :D

There are a few members looking for ///M roadsters, hopefully you will find one soon

Where in Scotland are you based?

Welcome

There are a few people on here who have moved from an S2000 to a Z, including the chap who bought my 3.0 in the spring. There aren't many about for sale right now, wrong time of year really, but things should start to pick up through February and onwards. That said, surprises pop up on here, so good luck with your search

Seeing these posts I get itchy feet, but seeing you are in Scotland the temptation isn't there due to distance.

Still thinking about that VX?

Me included :) I'm also in Scotland, Aberdeenshire... Where are you located?

I wouldn't say the Z4M is a better car than the S2000, both have their merits and both address each others issues.

I did have my Z4M up for sale at the end of last year, but pulled it as I changed my mind. Too many miles for you anyway, just over 60k, but it's immaculate and has all the right options and upgrades.

Same situation Andy (near Montrose here), got my S2000 and want to change to a Z4M. Been looking for a month or two, none up in Scotland just now unless you are open to a coupe as well. Interestingly the AUK one up just now has added £2k since it was first put up over new year, lack of supply pushing up prices a bit maybe.

I'm up in Aberdeen, not the best place for car shopping and more than happy to travel anywhere in the UK for the correct car, drive homes always fun :D

Not sure if you've been in one, but if you want to look over mine to make sure the Z4M is for you give me a shout. I'm out in Westhill.

My neighbour has my old S2000 and at times I do miss it when he rolls it out the garage.

Andy, mine is for sale and might match your expectations:

I wasn't going to put much effort selling it in the winter but if you're in the market for a good example it is certainly that. It's done about 200 miles more than the advert and I think the money I was asking was a bit strong so it'll be going up for £1,000 less on here in the spring but a tempting offer might sway me now if you're interested.

Long way for you to come so am happy to take more photos, videos etc.

Yep

Don't think it would be such a good allrounder like the ///M though.

Do. Not. Do. It.

At least not until you've taken that car on a run to some more interesting places than Kent, Sussex and Surrey

We're doing Wales/Bristol aren't we in April?

That's the plan

But you really need to come on the next Scottish weekend, or get to the national, then maybe sell in 2016. Not that you'll want to 8)

Scotland could be doable this year, just depends when, but the national will be out I'm pretty sure. Budget is stretched though due to Virgin giving us free flights to USA meaning holiday to Florida I hadn't planned on :D  :D

Cheers for the offer, I'm 5 minutes from you so could well take you up on it. I've had a look at a couple of M's in the past and like the car so if the one for me comes along then pretty much decided on it. I'm also looking for a Caterham at the same time so which ever comes first is the one I'll no doubt end up with.

No problem, just let me know :) If nothing else, it may help you decide what enhancements\mods to make when you do get one :)

Caterham would be awesome fun up here, I used to have a Wesfield :driving:

Here's the car itself. http://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=70296&p=1032333#p1032333
