Not mine, but thought this might gain interest on the forum:

I am looking for a blue Z4MR following mine getting crunched a couple of months ago ( ) so have been following them on Autotrader. This was one was somewhere around £13K-£14K last week and I am not sure why the big drop all of a sudden. I guess they are in a rush to sell this side of Xmas (?), and whilst the spec is basic unless I am missing something it looks like it could be a great deal for someone at £10K.

I was looking for lower miles and a higher spec but might check it out as it is not far from me.

Cheap entry price in the ///M ownership. Nice colour and a whole lot of car for £10k, but agree to low spec and to some higher mileage.

BTW - did you know your search link leads you to your front door and on streetview you can see what I assume is your old car in the London street?? Amazing what's embedded in a link...

If I hadn't of bought an m3 I'd have looked at that.

Mileage isn't that high...those engines are capable of doing alot of miles.

This ones been on since May I think as it was on Autotrader when i bought mine. The price hasnt budged all summer and so i guess he's desperate Dan now to shift it.

9625 avg miles per year! That's nothing.
77k on a 8 year old car is ok. We think that anything over 40k on these makes them high mileage.

Nice colour and obviously keen to shift this on. Good way to get into an M.

I totally agree re the mileage. My comment was that some will think it's high. Folks seem to want to buy cars with <30k on them, especially ///M's. That was fine 3-5 years ago, but these are now 6-10 year old cars and the engines will do 200k if looked after.

Worth considering but I am thinking scam.

If not, it's the best bargain I have seen this year.

The plate change details seem to be supported by the MOT history on the two reg numbers https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history

There is no sign of the images having appeared on the web before and a phone number is provided rather than just email, both of which are usually scam give-aways. A phone conversation, HPI check viewing at sellers home and good examination of the car and docs should weed out a wrong'un easily enough.

...... but was it ever worth the hopeful £13-14k it was apparently up for? Maybe a dose of pre-Christmas winter time blues realism has been applied, private sale book valuation adjusted for miles is currently £9096 and £8313 as a PX

depends if it's the same chap selling it from this May, he had it on for £14k to start with and went down to £13k.

if it's the same guy, then obviously realizes he needs to shift it on now.....

Yeah that was for sales ages ago, remember it when I was buying mine.

I think the 'book' price goes right out of the window with these.

If legit and selling in Feb I reckon he'd get £12k.

This was the highest mileage £14k car when I was looking. I remember the speil about his wife not letting him have 2 sports cars and the pics of the vette in the background

This car has been on AT for months. Not quite since I bought mine in December last year, but pretty close. There is either something up with it or priced too high originally and didn't move on.

Surely an MR simply isn't desirable or rare enough for anybody in their right mind to pay 45% premium over book and maybe one reason why it didn't sell at £14k. If it is now a bargain with an easy £2k profit to come in 3 months time only a fool wouldn't buy it

To be fair, this would make an excellent weekend car. Base spec (no wind deflector, heated seats, nav, cruise, mirrors, leather dash etc). So just raw fun with PDC for parking it at a pub out in the sticks...!
